They did their job!
I purchased these because we where going camping at a large farm with 500 + families. I wanted to be able to talk with my kids and wife, plus we took two vehicles. They worked well on the highway, at times we where about 5 + miles apart and the sound Quilty worked well.

It's nice the have a charging base. The set I had before had to be plugged in which wore out the port and they wouldn't charge anymore

Better than Midland but with flaws.
The range is good but NOT 25 miles even on line of site and no obstructions. 5 miles at the MOST. The batteries seem to never fully charge. Even after over 24 hours in the charger the red charging light is still ON and the battery charging indicators still say charging. Channels are easy to select compared to other brands as well as a nice loud volume. The radios are also very light but there seems to be a charging issue with this brand. Seems there are no brand of radios with really stellar reviews.

Great little toy for backyard
Sound quality is amazing. The ease of use is also great. Actual distance is not what the description talked about. Barely got half mile from house before lost signal. Really is just for open fields and LOS.

Great value!
We have used these for several years, to communicate while maneuvering the RV in campgrounds, to communicate between cars on the highway. They work great, and the recharging cradle is compact. Haven't tried them over long distances, but have been a mile apart on the highway without issues.

Nice little set for the price.
Really nice set but far from the 23 mile range listed. The sound is okay but I have heard better. The Batteries are AA rechargeable and the base is USB. So if I need to, I can hook up my solar charger in case of emergency and can charge other AA batteries as well. Overall good product.

First set rocked, second not so much
Bought these two years ago and loved them enough to buy another set when we lost them moving. The second set didn't quite measure up despite being the exact same model. Maybe a dud.

Misleading price saving
the product itself is fine. no issue with both units. product seemed well made. However, i do have an issue with the claim that the list price was $177 on sales for $51, which Amazon claimed to be 71% off as per product listing. I believed it and thought it was a great deal. As it turned out, the Cobra website had this product at $59.99. So I feel that it's bit mis-leading and will certainly double check on claimed savings in the future - a lesson for others as well. Jack
