The design is BRILLIANT, I wish more manufacturers knew about this design: the 'fish scale' tread design allows the rubber to sit flat while rolling forward and 'flare' up while breaking - the pavement applies a force in the opposite direction, which allows the to dig in / 'bite' / grab the surface. (think about dragging your hand over the grass with your palm facing up and fingernails pressed towards the earth: sliding your hand in one direction will slide smoothly, but when you reverse, your fingers will dig into the ground) I use this on my road bike because the extra grip for braking and cornering is 100% worth it, and it even grips a bit into the snow. I noticed no reduction in top speed, or or speed over endurance rides. It didn't feel heavy, and the enhanced control it provided made me feel confident in my bike and definitely increased my limits of maneuvering. I have never ridden on a better tire, and I have close to 30,000 miles under my belt. This is an excellent wet tire, and works excellent on dusty/sand asphalt when regular tires would slip due to braking or cornering. The rubber is very grippy and durable. Coming down mountain descents on pavement covered by sand and dust, I trust this tire while breaking, including in the same spots I slipped with slicks on. Its great for dry off road, but dont expect this to be a mud tire (although it can handle a little :) ). The one thing is, its a little wider at max width than 35mm, maybe about 38 or 40 so check your frame clearance before buying. I recommend this tire to any rider for its dominance over the road in almost any conditions (except on the ice, but only studs will help there), and its brilliant design.

False advertising! Not handmade in Germany

The sidewalk of the tire says Made In China. Quality is ok, but not as good as the tires made in Germany. Also tire is not made with “black chili” compound. Double false adverting, I was lied to twice in the same ad. If I had paid any more for this pair of tires, I’d be very upset and return them. But since I had a credit and got one free it’s not worth it

About 20+ miles on new rubber and they seem like good rolling tires with a little off-road ability. Will update if there are any issues

Horrible tires for any gravel riding, puncture easily

Purchased the tires in October, but didn't open the box until late November. Put them on my commuter bike, and have had 5 punctures in the past month. I can tell you that these tires are way too thin and extremely puncture prone. I wish Cycling Pros or Continental would take them back, exchange them, or acknowledge that they are defective. Sad set of tires. Don't make my mistake and purchase them, thinking they'd be good for a gravel bike.

Finally stopped punctures.

I ride in London and have been through many inner tubes since I moved here a year ago. Replaced one tyre because I needed to, but then noticed I only got punctures in my old tyre. So now replaced both and I don't get punctures any more. Happy days.

very nice tyre, quite hard to come by these days. And a good price. I do d these a very fast and light tyre on road, with enough grip for tracks and paths. They seem to wear reasonably fast, but until. they do the puncture resistance is excellent

Muy rápidas

He usado estas cubiertas por un par de meses y siguen como nuevas, me encantó la baja resistencia a la rodadura y su resistencia al transitar caminos accidentados o de terracería. La calidad de Continental muy buena y muy bonito diseño. Afortunadamente no he sufrido pinchazos y en pavimento me permiten rodar a unos 35 km/hr sin sentir gran diferencia con cubiertas de carretera.

Keine Beanstandungen, jederzeit wieder!

Artikel wie beschrieben. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt absolut. Habe die Bereifung erst seit kurzer Zeit auf meinem Rennrad, weil ich etwas mehr Rollwiderstand im Taining wollte. Genau richtig für mich. Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
