Nephew’s favorite birthday present

I was looking for a birthday present for my niece’s 10 year old son. I wanted something to boost his confidence and the Discovery Box of Magic did that! Once the box is opened, it won’t be long before you have an amateur magician on your hands!

Not a practical magic set if you want to have fun learning magic.

I do not believe that an actual magician had anything to do with this set. There are a few tricks that do not work with the props provided. (For example the cups and balls with multiple different color balls). And some that aren’t explained well at all (like the FIRST trick where you are supposed to be able to find a dice under a ”shell”. The tricks secret makes no sense. For a magic kit that is supposed to teach it sure did a bad job. I feel like they have the opportunity to make a better set, and I wish they would reach out to a working magician and make one that is amazing and a practical learning tool. Heck, I’ll even do it.

FOR OUR GRANDSON

He has fun making up his own "tricks" and not following the directions (perhaps a little ADHD?). Unfortunately his sister thought she knew how one of the tricks worked and broke the rings within 5 minutes of opening the box. These are not meant to hold up to a kids rough hands. I'd say if your child shows interest, it's a great little beginners set.

For and old kid

Nice packaging, lots of stuff, just wanted something for my child to do or learn because she gets bored. This was difficult to navigate and comprehend. By the time she would of understood it and taken the time to learn or would of been old news. Probably suited more for some kids that are a little more advanced or older
