Works as intended

I installed this when I was building my new laundry room, it works great and was easy to install. The dryer vent hose fits on it snug so no issues with it coming off. The flap only opens when the dryer is running so it keeps unwanted air and critters out when not in use

Most basic dryer vent

Just a really lightweight dryer vent, very thin aluminum, would not withstand much impact, wouldn't recommend around rough kids, but serves its purpose. Mine came slightly misshapen from shipping, but some careful bending straightened it back out. The flapper works well, but isn't one of the "completely sealed" (those cost more money) There is about 18-24 in of duct so it should be enough to fit through most walls and have something to attach the dryer hose to. Screws are not included but a few small screws of any type will work fine. Don't forget to caulk behind it.

Extremely flimsy & cheaply made.

Photo at time of ordering showed a DeFlecto logo on vent. Received this cheap POS. Its very thin & flexible metal, feels like someone doubled up tin foil & shaped it into a vent. No mounting holes pre-drilled, tiny poorly done tack welds hold the sections together, etc WASTE of $$$
