Overall I like this product, would recommend it to others and would buy it again. I used the small size on a young border collie (30lbs) , the medium size on a larger border collie (55lbs). Permethrin treatment has some effect in repelling ticks, but I found it was not sufficient to fully protect dog. Some ticks still embedded on dog. This is under very high tick pressure hiking. However I only placed this vest on the dog when actually hiking. Leaving it on the dog 24/7 might have more effect deterring ticks. Lightweight, well made, easy to put on dog, stays on dog. Color is good for visibility day or night. Recommend that when you first open the product plastic bag you do it outdoors. When product bag is first opened, the permethrin is very strong.

Fits our 33lb cattle dog great. Visibility is great, reflectors work at night too. We have some heavily wooded land she runs around in and still had quite a few ticks, but this was very thick woods. I think the ticks would be worse without the vest. Probably works great for your average trails in parks. Velcro is strong. She chases chipmunks around through thick woods and it’s never come loose.

I love this vest and so does my dog. She is a thin, 42 pound mixed breed. I bought the small and should have gotten the medium.....had to alter mine by lengthening the strap. I think the size chart may have been off because I measured her chest and went by that.

This product is WONDERFUL, and our dog loves it!
Our dog doesn't go out without this vest these days. It keeps those pesky deer flies off her, and the fit is perfect. And it makes her quite visible when she goes out romping in the woods.
