Unusable for LED's - Excessive Flicker - Fixed with Leviton 6674 Dimmers
I originally purchased Leviton 6674 Universal dimmers to dim some WAC "Invisiled" in-cabinet tape lights. The Levitons were OK, but there was a small "hitch" in the dimming action up near the top of the dimming range - not really a problem, as it is only momentary and disappears as soon as you get to your setpoint. But to try and eliminate even that small issue, I went with these Cooper dimmers, which are substantially more costly, advertise that they use "Square Law Dimming", which sounds scientific, have an adjustable "lowest dimming level" control wheel you set once, upon installation, and are supposedly tested with 120 different LED and CFL light sources - but apparently WAC Invisiled lighting isn't among the 120. Problem is, the Coopers have a tremendous amount of flicker at all levels except full on, no matter what the setting of the lowest dimming level wheel. They are completely unacceptable. They might be OK for some kinds of LED bulbs, but for WAC Invisiled's, which use a plug-in transformer, they don't work - I have dedicated circuits to each receptacle where the WAC plug-in transformers are located, so essentially, I was reducing the voltage to the transformers. On a positive note, I liked that these devices did not use pre-installed pigtails with stranded wire, like the Levitons (and many others) do. They have very well-designed screw terminals, with a double wire hole in the switch body for each terminal for daisy-chaining. No wire nuts required (yay) and no wrapping leads behind the terminal screws. The Cooper terminals are designed similar to a circuit breaker terminal with wire holes in the switch body, similar in appearance to a push-in terminal, but instead of being push-in, there is a captive brass follower behind the wire hole that is that is clamped down against the wire using an external terminal screw - so no push-on grips to release if you need to disconnect your wiring - just loosen the terminal screw and the leads come right out. Unfortunately, I had to return them, but with Amazon, that is super simple.

Substantial screw binding connectors much better than pigtails
Seems to be a quality device. Works well with my Feit BR40 LED floods. Thumbwheel is very handy to adjust the low threshold of the dimming level. I'm close to the rated wattage and it works well and doesn't generate excessive heat. Substantial screw binding connectors much better than pigtails. Nice feature is it will turn on at preset level of dimming, not full bright.

Far better than the Lutron model
I initially bought the lutron version and wasn't satisfied with the cheap rattling "click" and feel. The Cooper version is far better and worth the extra money. It has a more solid "click", no rattling, and I really like that you just have to push the stripped solid core wire in instead of using wire nuts; it saves a ton of space in the electrical box.
