Makes making bias tape easier
I recently purchased the Simplicity Sewing and Quilting Bias Tape Maker Tool and I am extremely impressed with its performance. This tool makes creating bias tapes quick and easy, and it is suitable for both quilting and sewing projects. The tool itself is made of high-quality materials, and it is durable and sturdy. I Love this machine!! Innovative tool that saves me so much time!!
This machine is so underrated, I've been using this and a rotary blade machine, and my making bias tape is totally streamlined now! I remember seeing the previous Simplicity bias tape maker model at Joann Fabrics nearly 10 years ago, and for a while, I was kicking myself for not buying one. So glad these are available again! This machine has already saved me so much time. I once spent 3 hours ironing bias tape by hand (marking and folding the creases), I was able to make if not the same, more bias tape with this machine in just 15 minutes. Also, I have tried the bias tape kits, they work and they're a useful tool, but I still found it tedious to pull the fabric through the metal tips, then grab my iron and press, stop, pull the fabric through, grab my iron and repeat that process over and over. It's slightly faster than the manual mark and fold method, but this machine is waaaaay faster. I hope Simplicity continues to create innovative sewing machine tools, I would recommend this one to any avid sewer!

Not any quicker than making bias by hand.
This little machine is ok. It takes a while to heat up and I have to pull the fabric thru. It doesn’t get pushed thru as advertised.

Easy to Use and Great Results
I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to use this product, and then I was off to the races. I make binding for quilts. The device was super easy to use, and my binding was done in no time. As stated in one of the videos that I watched, the fabric moves through much smoother with binding strips sewn with diagonal seams versus straight seams. The device seemed to advance the fabric more slowly over the areas sewn together using straight seams. But that wasn’t enough to make the review down by one star. This is definitely a five star device.

Quilting attachments are hard to use
This does a pretty good job if you're making double fold binding; however using the single fold quilting tips are a pain. They load into the pressing mechanism really awkwardly, and the 1.25" tip is tricky to get the fabric into-- it's pretty much impossible without an awl. The same tip also seems to have too tight of a passageway, which means that wherever your binding is joined to another strip, it gets stuck and you have to tug it through which results in wonky binding for a few inches at every join. Also, the motor sounds like it's struggling the whole way through, which concerns me about the overall longevity of this tool. If you can buy this on deep discount, it's a good deal, but I don't think it's worth the full price.

I brought this machine with apprehension after seeing a video on amazon from a previous disgruntled customer however I must say its fantastic and works perfectly better than I thought and I'd happily recommend this machine to anyone

Disappointing
I was disappointed with this product. After spending time carefully preparing my bias strips I finally got to put them through the machine. It handle any of my pieces very well. Not at all consistent binding. I wouldn’t be able to use any of it. So I’m going to continue to make my binding by hand.

Tolles Gerät
Ich habe es mir gewünscht für das Binding zum Quilten weil das von Hand bügeln nervt. Also hab ich mir ein Vorweihnachtsgeschenk gemacht. Ich habe mir im Vorfeld bereits ein Video angeschaut. Nach Bedienungsanleitung aufgebaut und dann gleich mal mit einigen Metern Schrägband gestartet. Bin begeistert von dem akkurat gebügelten Ergebniss das bekomm ich mit Hand nicht hin. Es sind vier Schrägbandformer und 2für Binding dabei Bin fürs Erste sehr zufrieden mit dem Kauf
