Not sure it’s going to hold up

I loved the concept of this clip- great for a purse but supposedly strong enough to support up to a 50lb backpack. While I think it’s going to support my purse just fine, I question anything heavier than ten pounds. The clip mechanism seems like it’ll last, but the entire product feels cheap overall. Especially the plastic connection at the swivel joint. It’s branded with “Gear Aid” which threw me off at first , but s simple google search confirmed that this was legit and not a knockoff. But that really should be mentioned in the description so others don’t feel ripped off. For now, it feels like I way overpaid for a carabiner, but I have yet to put it through a full barrage of my own tests.

So useful

This hook/clip is so simple yet so useful to have for all types of usage cases. I have it most often when going to the gym and just hooking my backpack everywhere on equipment I am using. Also very useful on travel and I always make sure I have it me. Would purchases the bigger ones too.

Product I received is NOT a hero clip

Just an FYI... The product I received is not "Heroclip" brand but a knockoff. It's a "Gearaid". The packaging says "Heroclip" but the product itself is not. Those folks who have an issue of it slipping off tables probably have a knockoff. I have a few "real" "Heroclips" and they don't slip off tabletops, even heavier camera bags.
