Poorly packaged by Amazon

Hammermill 24 lb paper works as it should. The price is excellent. The only complaint and the reason for the 4 stars is not because of the paper but the shoddy packing by Amazon. When I picked up the package the end of the box fell off and the paper fell on the ground. Thankfully the Hammermill wrapping, while a little torn and battered, held the ream together saving 500 sheets of paper being strewn across my driveway. Excellent paper, crappy packaging by Amazon.

Good quality paper that's not inexpensive but worth it.

I've been using this paper now for half a year. I like it because it's thicker than most. Classier looking, and the copier doesn't jam any longer. It's worth it, but hardly inexpensive.

Package was ripped

The package of the paper was ripped open on both sides badly. It was packaged inside a box in this condition. The box was undamaged.

Disappointed

Paper wrapped in paper and was tore inside box. Luckily the paper was undamaged. I have to have clean crisp legal paper for my job. I will most likely go with a different brand that uses a plastic wrap that’s harder to open.

Great for everyday basic printing.

This is good quality basic standard paper. The only problem is that Amazon doesn't pack it too well so the outer wrapping paper sometimes get abused during shipping. It is a basic thin paper for ordinary use for my home and office. At under $6 a ream ( price keeps on changing on Amazon ), plus free prime delivery, you cant beat this price and quality you get from this hp brand copy paper. If you have a presentation or want to keep your print for a long time, I would recommend a heavier pound stock or laser smooth paper quality instead. Otherwise, at this price, its a good deal. If you get a good price, stock up on it. If you wait until you run out, the price will change on you as I have been buying this paper for years.

Ideal for making copies of old (1900 to 1950s era) documents produced on Foolscap paper

I found that it is very difficult, as a small user, to obtain foolscap-sized paper in the UK; and this USA-sourced page is an ideal replacement. My "original images" were supplied to me on A3 paper, one image per sheet, with lots of "white space". I have an A3 scanner, but only A4 printers: they, however, are able to print "legal" size pages. Note there are two versions of legal, so you need to make sure you have the right settings. So, I was able to scan my documents using a A3 scanner and very easily print them "full size" on my A4 printer, using the manual double-sided print setting. Delivery by DHL was amazingly quick and fully trackable. The paper was ordered on a Tuesday: it left New Jersey the next day, Thursday it was in Philadelphia, Friday in New York city and Saturday in Cincinnati. It left Cincinnati on Sunday and was with the carrier in UK, at East Midlands, just before 2 am Monday. I took delivery just before 2:30 pm the same day. The paper is high quality, however, this is a somewhat expensive way of purchasing paper of this size in the UK. Delivery costs would have more than doubled the cost of the paper, but the discount meant that the delivery costs were covered. I could, for instance, have halved my costs by buying A3 paper from Amazon UK, but then I would have to cut down 500 sheets of A3 paper to foolscap size and I don't have the ability to do that economically / efficiently. So, I am satisfied with this product - "it did what I want it to do".

Inferior Quality?

I compared this paper to some Staples brand paper of the same weight/color, and the Hammermill was vastly inferior. The Hammermill wasn't quite as bright-white as the Staples brand (despite same 96 bright level) and the sheets didn't feel as thick and substantial as the Staples brand (despite same 24lb weight). The Staples paper was definitely more smooth and premium feeling. It is so annoying because it apparently means that the standard measurements used to compare different types of paper are largely meaningless.

Paper is great, seller sucks at handling and packaging.

The media could not be loaded. I know this is great paper, but the product came damaged and several sheets may not feed into my printer properly now because of the edge being slightly damaged. Seller really needs to provide quality packaged product when charging brand new item prices. Product was not listed as damaged when buying.

Great paper -- but arrived in damaged packaging...

I really like this paper but was disappointed to open the shipping box and see that one of the packages was damaged in shipping as can be seen in the photo. It seems that this appears to be a somewhat common occurance with this seller based on other reviews here.

The box was opened because its from Warehouse Deals but the sheets are perfect. Great deal.
