Wonderful arc, slag comes off very easy.
I’ve used these electrodes with a DekoPro inverter welder from Amazon, with a Lincoln AC/DC tombstone and also with a Miller 250 at welding school. These run better for me than the Lincoln Excalibur electrodes we get at school. I gave our instructor a few to try and he also liked the way they ran. I plan to buy more.

Decent price for Hobart rods.
I caught a good price for these, can't complain. I use either these or Lincolns, either work fine for my welding needs around the farm.

Good quality welding rod, easy to use.
Hobart makes excellent 7018 welding rods. They tend to burn smoothly and are to clean up after use.

USELESS!!!
As a long time amateur welder, I have used many types of welding rod over the years. I have never had any trouble with any type, old or new, even improperly stored material. This is the first time I have ordered rod from Amazon and I thought I had done my research; a good all round rod but keep it dry or else the flux deteriorates. Easy. I was unable to strike an arc under any position or amperage. I followed the drying instructions assiduously using a proper oven. Heat and hold to 500 degrees then garage at 250 degrees F prior to use. My return window had closed just before my first use. Poor me. I do not recommend.

Wet and cold
Found the rods to be very damp and Flux came off the unused rods easily, even after being baked. On my less than a year old welder, had to crank the heat as the rods burned on the cold side. Been at this for 25 plus years and I'll be going back to ESAB

Missing flux
Product arrived early. I don’t know who’s to blame; the product or delivery. 50% of the rods has missing flux coating. So disappointed.

Not good Quality
When I recieved the package, a lot of the flux was off the rods or the flux was cracked. Either way, I can’t use these as they will not weld properly!
