Working as expected

Pepper Seedlings doing well. Working well so far, only a week into using them. Kinda wish I'd gone with units that had temp control and on off switches but the price was so good for these. Maybe next time I'll go with fancier units.

Helped my seeds to sprout.

These have no temperature control settings, just plug it in. It does get and stay warm. My seeds I planted seem to like it as mostly all of them have sprouted and that has let me get a jump start on the flowers for my flower garden. I have not tried it with vegetable seeds. For this price point, I feel this was worth the money. I have mine on a glass top coffee table, although I don't think it would burn or scorch any surface. It's doing the job I need it to do, and I can't ask for more than that.

Great item for starting my seedlings

This is my first year growing my own vegetable seedlings, and I did a lot of research to get the right stuff. These warming pads work great to keep the soil warm and encourage my seedlings to grow. The only issue I had was that Amazon send me double my required units and I had to quickly the excess for a refund.

HORRID smell, HORRID quality - NOT recommended

These are not quality products. When they arrived and I opened the box, the chemical smell was very overpowering. I thought that may go away over time, so I went ahead and took one out of the package AFTER opening a window and door for ventilation. This is not a true heating 'mat' - it is an electrical wire heating unit sandwiched between two layers of plastic (PVC?). The two outer layers are sealed around the edges, but they are not sealed together. The wire in the middle created valleys & ridges, creating an unstable surface for pots - tho, if you're using a 10x20 tray that wouldn't matter much. I immediately put the opened 'mat' back into its packaging and initiated a return. I will go back to a reliable, QUALITY purchase that costs more. NOT recommended. If I could give zero stars, I would for this item. Do yourself a favor, pay more to get something of quality and value instead.
