Sizing/inflation issue

When I told my stability ball fitness instructor that I wanted to buy an exercise ball for home use, she told me to make sure I got a 65cm, anti-burst (burst resistant) ball. I am 5'6" but have long legs and a 65cm seems to be the perfect size. When properly inflated, it gives me the recommended 90 degree angle in both hip and knee joints. After researching quite a few, and reading many reviews, I chose the J/Fit 65cm anti-burst ball. Inflation issues seemed to be a common theme from many reviewers, so I followed the advice of several and partially inflated the ball, let it rest overnight, inflated it some more, let it rest overnight (at this point it had reached 65cm but was too soft for proper use). I finished inflating the ball on the third day. I was surprised to find that the ball had now reached 75cm, was not too firm or soft, but my hip and knee flexion were both greater than the recommended 90 degrees. I tried using it with a stability ball exercise video but it was cumbersome and uncomfortable to work with, obviously the wrong size for me. I have returned it and plan on purchasing a 55cm J/Fit ball. If what happened to me with the larger ball holds true with the 55cm, I believe that it will inflate to the 65cm that I need. I am sticking with J/Fit because it was a sturdy ball, built as tough as those at the fitness center. I also will stay with J/Fit as exercise balls from other manufacturers may yield different results when inflated.

beautiful yoga ball!

Really like the material of the ball, not slippery, no nasty smell (and i am pregnant, i can smell everything way stronger), the pump is not that bad, actually is a very good arm exercise, i really enjoyed it! The tape to put around the ball is a great idea, so you don't inflate too much or too low. I am 5'5'' and i've got the 65cm which is perfect for me! the ball is perfectly round (if you use the tape correctly and you follow the instructions). Love it!!!! i would totally buy the same ball and recommend it to you, family and friends! you won't be disappointed.

It was the most difficult object to buy on Amazon till now...

...all the reviews report terrible things about all the brands, but I needed one so I finally got the less ugly color! So, color is kool. It doesn't smell at all. Pump it with the small pump received is a pain, I asked a friend to bring his electric pump. The problem with mine is that after a month and a half it starts to loose air and I need to pump it again. Received the day after I ordered.

Too Squish to Work as a Chair

Let me first say, I'm pretty picky since I need a fitness ball to use as a chair. This product might have been fine for someone planning to only use it for workouts. Or maybe someone who weighs less than 100 pounds who wants to use it for workouts. I found it to be way to squishy. It didn't feel secure to sit on at all. It did, however, fill up to the correct size. I tried waiting a few days to see if the material would stabilize, perhaps take some more air to make it less squishy but no. I had to return it. Very disappointing. If you want a squishy ball that's has a soft, almost sticky surface, this could be the right item for you. It would work well for exercises where you want to be about to get a good grip.

I've had a couple other gym balls -- this one seems to be well made and something I'd trust under my substantial tush while exercising. Nice heavy-duty material. Inflates to proper size easily. I'm not a huge fan of the green color, but whatever, pretty much anything that big is going to look garish.

Office Fitness approved

I got this ball to supplement my desk chair in my office, and I couldn't be happier. It came with the pump and plug, so I got a workout just in pumping it up! I rotate between this and my desk chair, and I've totally noticed a difference in the amount of back pain. I used to leave work with a back ache, now I don't. I'd say that's worth it right there. Nice color too - subtle.

It is bigger than 55cm

I am 5'2", and I was thinking of using this ball as a chair with an existing stabilizing cradle. Because my old 55cm ball was poked by my cat, I needed to get a new one, and got this one. However, after inflating, I found that this ball was much bigger than the previous 55cm one. The quality does not look bad. Though air leakage was a major issue with my previous ball, this ball seems to have less air leakage.

I purchased this ball as an alternative "chair" for my desk. It is the perfect size for me to sit on when I need to switch it up and sit on something other than my chair while I work.

Love it

So, it's a 65cm exercise ball. It's purple. Made from a high quality material, that doesn't smell like gross plastic. I haven't had any problems with it, and even my 260lbs friend was bouncing around on it with no problems. The pump it comes with takes forever to pump it up, but that is the same with any pump that comes with an exercise ball. It also comes with a basic exercise pamphlet which is fairly helpful, but youtube or the internet are far better resources for ball exercises. Buy it! For the price, an exercise ball is a cheap way to burn some more calories. Also works as an extra chair.

Very Good Product

Great exercise ball and awesome price! I actually bought it for a birthing ball, but found it wasn't my favourite thing in labour. It was nice and comfy to sit on while pregnant though and using one has all kinds of benefits.

Big and Strong

This is a great gym ball, it is strong inflates easily with the hand held pump although it took some time to do it , it really wasn't that hard. Every month or so I have to add just a little extra air to keep it firm but again that is no issue with the pump that comes with it and the plastic is so durable - great product

Good product but different than the other 55cm sizes.

This was a great purchase. I am thinking about buying another one - one for home and one for work (office job). Fast shipping. BUT I decided to order another exercise ball based on this size. I ordered a few different 55cm balls because this size fit me just right. But when I got the new order, the size was much smaller than this one. Buyers beware that if you want to order another 55cm ball, it will be different than this one! I'm not sure if it's the anti-burst or not, but it measured up to the same size as a 65cm ball.
