Temperature reads fast, and easy to see the text. The prong thing is a decent length so if you wanted to poke something in the oven you don't have to worry about getting to close to the heat. Used another thermometer to check the accuracy and it was spot on.

Simple to use

Do not like that you can't lock it to always read Fahrenheit or Celsius. It is way to easy to hit the button and switch be F and C while trying to gauge the temperature of food. Every time I turn on the thermometer I switch that setting accidentally and it is annoying. Outside of that it gets the job done accurately.

Times out too fast.

The media could not be loaded. The display goes dim before a stable temperature is reached. Tried a new battery and it did not solve the issue. Had my original order replaced and the second one timed out too fast also. Not sure if they are defective or were designed that way. It would be very frustrating to have to continually press the ON button to check the temp of several items. Will be sending the second one back and ordering something different.
