Nice item to replace the old one

This item just the same model to my broken one. It replaced and works fine. Thanks this item could be found online because of out of order in local stores.

It just works. And quite well.

So this 4-speed fan switch is rated at 1.5 A. Did the math because I wanted to control two fans. Turns out both fans together only draw one amp on full load. So the switch works perfectly… Even on the very lowest setting, neither the switch nor my fans make any noise whatsoever. Both of my fans are Hunter fans that I ordered from Amazon quite recently. The switch came with two different colored knobs; one ivory and one white. Definitely a nice touch. For the price and performance, I am quite pleased with this purchase, and it just works. To determine how many amps your fan consumes, find the specifications and divide the fan wattage by 120 volts. That will give you the amperage consumption. In my case it was 1/2 amp per fan.

Works well I have it installed on a heating coil in my garage regular speed the fan was too loud with the speed control I can turn it down

Works great, but you might need your glasses until you get used to the settings.

Got the controller installed without any problem and it works as advertised. I especially like that it is very quiet. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the settings on the dial are just pressed into the plastic and are difficult to read.

Repakaged

I recieved this product in a plastic sealed bag. The original packaging within the bag was ripped open and jammed in the original box. The label was torn and jammed into the box. Mount screw was missing. This was definitely an item that had been opened and returned and sold again. When I buy new, I want new, not returned merchandise. I hope it works ok.

works as per expected, but the descriptions is not sufficient

I have 57 Wattage motor https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B008N4QIZG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this controller quietly reduces the speed by reducing amperage and keeping voltage same. This doesn't heat up the motor. Only caveat is my speed get reduced only at 'LO" speed at anyother level it doesn't reduce its speed. that because the controller is max 1.5A and my motor is max .57A.
