Grandkids & I Love These Classic Lincoln Logs!
I remember loving to play with Lincoln Logs at my Grandparents when I was little, and now my Grandchildren are loving to play with Lincoln Logs at my house! My, how time fly's! The 327 piece Collector's Edition Village comes in a large tall round tin can. The Lincoln Logs I played with my at my Grandparent's house over 50+ years ago also had a can like this. This tin can makes it so easy to clean them up when play time is done. This one of the greatest timeless classic toys that has ever entertained children for generations!

Unpaid Review
I wanted to carry on the dream of Lincoln Logs. I had a rich friend growing up and he had all the Lincoln Logs. Well now I’m 34 with a successful career and I can give my daughter them. Hopefully we are able to pass them down to her kids. Okay, now onto the review. Package came undamaged, tin is undamaged, and the logs look great. I did verify that all the pieces were present. I think what happened to some of the other buyers is, a bag got missed in the packaging process. I will say, the tin is a bit flimsy for the cost. It’s a lesser metal then a cheap garbage tin. I would wish for a more durable can, a can that can clamp down the lid, and a handle on the lid. The graphics on the tin are beautiful. I am however disappointed that these are made in China. ( I did know this when I purchased ). But I almost feel like it’s buying an American Flag from China. It just feels wrong. Lincoln Logs are an American tradition and should be made here at home. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase but I’m still rooting for Made in America. If I find a set on Etsy that are hand made in America, I will add to the collection via them.

Lincoln Logs Are the Best!
They’re the original Lincoln Logs, what more can I say? Kids love Lincoln Logs and our little guy who is autistic absolutely loves his Lincoln Logs. The only gripe we have is that there are an odd number of roofing sections so you are always one section short of completing the roof which is annoying, especially to a 5 yr old autistic child who is obsessed with making and completing things, everything has to be just so. We are working with him to accept that not everything can be perfect but it’s hard for him. The product itself is of good quality, no complaints there. My husband and I are enjoying our family time with our little guy as we build structures together. Just more roofing sections, an even number of pieces, would have made this the perfect gift.

Excellent Quality Kit - Brings Back Memories
My sister and I each had a basic Lincoln Log Cabin kit in the 60's when we were kids, and I always remember playing with them and enjoying it. Unfortunately my Mom gave away our original sets when we outgrew them so we don't have those anymore. For some reason this Christmas I was thinking about those old Lincoln Log sets. Being a care taker for my 82 year old Mom now, I was also looking for some good ideas for toys that will help her with organization and following directions etc., and it suddenly occurred to me that Lincoln Logs provide many of the skills she needs practice with, and they're fun too! So after doing a little research I decided to get this Collectors Edition Village set for her this Christmas. When the box arrived I had her open it and her eyes lit up with recognition and excitement. We opened the bags of pieces and parts together and carefully counted all of them to make sure we got all 327 parts, and sure enough we did, including 5 extra small pieces. On the first evening, working together with her, she built 2 buildings and was totally engaged in reading through the all illustrated instructions, gathering the necessary pieces to build the building, and actually assembling it. It really worked her organizational, mechanical, spacial recognition, order of operations skills and so much more. In three nights we had built the entire village! I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or her! Such a trip down memory lane for both of us! Every few days I'll tear down a few buildings and she rebuilds them again, and each time I can see improvement in the skills and organization required to complete a model. I think the quality of the pieces is great. I actually have one small log from my original set and I compared it to the pieces in this set. The old ones are lighter and stained darker and are probably made of pine. The pieces in the new set are solid maple, stained a lighter color and a slightly bigger than the old piece. Don't be discouraged by other reviews on here that complain the pieces fit together loosely or that there aren't enough long pieces to really build anything etc. If you follow the included diagrams you will have enough pieces to build the entire village simultaneously as shown in my picture. Yes the pieces fit loosely but they are meant to. Once you put the cross braces in the become much more stable and can easily be moved around by pushing on the base once completely built. And best of all Lincoln Logs are made in the good old U.S.A. I love this set and it will be used for years to come. In fact I just ordered a second set so we'll have more pieces to get creative with and design our own structures.
