Easy to install and nice lighting but ZERO support if there are problems

I rated these as 3 stars but still bought 17 more of them. Why? Because I like the lights and the results. They were very easy to install, give off nice lighting, and look nice in the ceiling. However, I had an issue with the very first one where it connected to my network (requires 2.4 GHz only). It worked at first but then I had to split my combined 2.4 / 5 network up at the house for proper operation of these and other smart devices I was buying. And after doing so, I was unable to connect the light back to the network. Despite trying all kinds of reset options, deleting and re-adding, etc, nothing would work. The company website has very little helpful troubleshooting info and nothing regarding the issue I was having. I eventually emailed them directly as suggested on their website and after 2 weeks, I still have not received any kind of response. I ordered additional lights while they were on sale and was able to added 9 more to my house with no problems adding them in the app. After a week of no responses from support, I just did a return with Amazon on the original light and the replacement works just fine. I also joined a Lumary Facebook group and posted a question in there and had several other people tell me that they basically have no support. So as long as you realize that you may just have to return things to Amazon if there are issues, the lights might work for you. I find that it would be nicer in the app to be able to set a group of lights to various scenes, colors, etc but thus far, I have only been able to do so individually. I can control them on / off and certain colors with Alexa. But there are some scenes / modes in the app that don't seem to be available via Alexa so those can be cumbersome to do in the app. And I do find that every once in a while when turning them on or off, they may not all change the first time. But I'm unsure if that's an issue with the lights themselves or an issue with Alexa communicating with them all individually. So I will reserve judgement on that as it seems to work as expected 95% of the time or so. I am willing to attribute certain amounts of instability to the interaction between all of the various services. Overall, I like a lot of things about the lights and likely give them 4 stars (deducting one for the clunky app which could always be improved in future updates), but I had to deduct another star for the complete lack of support. Maybe that will change in the future but just be aware of what you're getting (or not getting) when purchasing.

Easy to install

When it came to installing these lights, there were really easy to do. Just as easy as screwing in a light bulb. When it came to setting these up in the app, the only issue I had was my internet went out right in the middle of doing so. Other than that little hiccup, once the internet came back on, I was able to finish installing. I have these installed in my kitchen in front of my sink and stove. Usually when I get home, even with my living room light on, it's still dark where I trip over a dog toy or an actual animal. With these, I'm able to walk into a lit house and not have to worry about tripping over anything. Not to mention, when we go out of town, we can make it look like someone is actually home rather, than just leaving the living room light on. A cool feature with these lights is you can have them bright white but if you want to add some color, you can change these really easily with the app. There are actually several different light settings that you can do that have the light or lights change colors.

We like everything about these lights, with the exception of the app. The app was a pain in the butt to set up and use. Aside from that, the lights were easy to install and came with everything we needed. The clips that attach them work well and are easy to install. No complaints about the lights….we just don’t like the app????.

Resets every time you use a light switch

Resets every time you use a light switch. When you use the light switch to turn off the lights it starts the setup process again. You have to use the remote that they sell separately which is dumb or you have to find a way to add a neutral wire to all your lights which most don't.

Led recess lights I have been looking for a led light that changes colors for my recess lights in my house that I could control by my phone because when I come in my back door the light switches are in the other side of the room but now I can control the light by my phone and change the colors too
