Plastic but gets the message across

Couldn't find another locking cap that would fit. This definitely conveys the message that you're not wanting this valve, cover, whatever to be touched or used.

Measurements would be a helpful addition

There's no measurements for the opening size so I had to do a little modification for it to fit on a propane tank. After that, it worked fine.

For some reason I thought it was made of metal. Easy to use (with padlock), but flimsy. Could be broken off very easily.

A Sturdy Product

Seems very sturdy (only making it of metal would make it more sturdy), but it wasn't right for the purpose we bought it. If you need to lock up welding gas tanks or something large like that, I would definitely recommend this product. We needed to lock a propane tank on a barbecue grill. For that purpose, the hole was too large and the valve handle slipped out far enough to turn it. With a little modification, we made it work well enough. We didn't see that they sell the same product in a smaller size that is for 1" to 3" valve handles, which would probably have been just right for our grill. (Ooops.) If you need to lock a small tank--order that one.

Won't work with a 20lb propane tank with triangle valve

Although it seems like a good product, it won't work on what seems to be an industry standard 20lb propane tank with a triangle valve. The opening is too large and when installed, closed and locked according to the instructions, it easily slips off the top of the cylinder.

The individual who installed the the lock was very pleased. So far, it has kept people from using it without permission

Sirve bien y acorde al precio que lo compre en su momento que fue 245, pero ahorita que esta en mas 900, no vale la pena.
