These have saved me a tone of money, but the design needs improvement

These remotes are on all of my sink counters to initiate the hot water recirculator. This saves me hundreds a month on water and electricity. The issue I have is real and an easy fix for the manufacturer, but it does not interfere with the function. It does make them less convenient as the inscribed numbers for ON OFF 30 minutes ONE HOUR, etc are so small they cannot be seen except by angling to the light and must be hand marked. Also the red 'connected' light is smaller than a pin prick. It needs to be seen from a few feet away rather than a few inches.

Works well controlling a lamp

Works well in conjunction with another kit to control multiple lamps. I'd highly recommend it.

seemed defective at first, but now that i've left it alone, it seems like it will work properly..

It acted strangely at first, shutting off after a few seconds, but once I left it in my windowsill for a bit, it turned on and stayed on. I'm assuming it won't shut off again until morning..

Works well, can't read buttons, awful customer service

I bought two for various fans around the house. After two weeks, they have worked without hassle. The only downsides are that you cannot read the buttons' markings (no contrast: white on white), and Jasco, the distributor for GE, has not replied to my query about the optional cradle for the remote. I do not reward poor customer service with five-star reviews, so you are warned: do not expect any help from them. On the Good News front, the remote does not really need a cradle; it comes in several pieces that you assemble to make it a wall-mount, and you can simply not assemble it (or, if it comes assembled, disassemble it). Both of mine look like the attached picture.

Operates Flawlessly!

I was able to set it and forget it. This two piece lighting control works flawlessly. I plugged in the receiver and placed the light-sensing transmitter in the window seal. When the sun goes down the light in the house comes on. Perfect!

Item not as pictured.

Disappointed. The provided mounting plate is not suitable for installation in a standard electrical gang box. It has to be screwed into the wall or somehow taped to the outside of the wall plate as shown in my photo.

Does not dim lights

Turns lights on and off only. Does not dim fixture. This was a replacement for an older identical receiver that had full function. Very disappointed. Also very tricky to install.
