Well Put Together
I have used a Drill Press before and it had way too much "lash" which made it useless. After building it up the first thing I noticed was this pieces has zero lash. Always a good sign???? I hope when in use this remains to be the case.

Great stand for your rotary tool, but it has its limits.
The Milescraft Rotary Tool Stand is a useful accessory for your rotary tools. It can be used for such things as a drill press or to just hold your rotary tool allowing you to better hold the part you are working with (like having a third hand). However, I need to point out that this stand is not designed to do precession work with your rotary tool. If you are looking for something small to do any drilling that requires a tight tolerance, you maybe better off looking at looking one of the many small table top drill presses available that don't cost too much more. Assembly and disassembly (for easy storage) is fast and easy. The instructions that come with it are easy to follow too. The base is die cast aluminum and lightweight measuring about 7" x 10" with a work area of 6" x 6". A heaver cast iron base would have been nice to make the unit more stable. However for small light work the stand is stable and it also comes with three #8 screws and rubber feet to allow you to screw the base to your work bench to improve stability. The vertical support column is a lightweight tube that presses into the base and is held secure with a single bolt at the back of the base. The over all height of the stand is about 15", including the base. The "tool holder bracket" can easily be adjusted anywhere up or down the vertical tube which gives you about 12" of adjustment vertically. A heaver threaded vertical support column would have been nice feature to help improve stability. But the press fit of the tube into the base are a nice tight fit. This stand is design to be used as a drill press when your rotary tool mounted in the vertical position, but as I pointed out earlier, it is not for precession drilling. The tool holder bracket is designed to allow approximately 2-1/2" of travel when used as a drill press. However the tool holder bracket can be adjusted anywhere along the vertical column for short or taller jobs. There is also an adjustable depth gage with a depth stop collar to control the depth of your drill which is nice if you need to repeat your drill depth. I did find a slight play in the "tool holder bracket" while using it as a drill press, but I was able to easily eliminate just about all of the extra play by placing a thin piece of plastic between the "depth shaft" and the lower guides. Pros: Lightweight Easy to assemble and disassemble for easy storage Holds rotary tool vertically or horizontally for ease of working Can be used as a mini drill press Can be easily fastened (screwed) to your work bench for added stability Cons: Lightweight base and vertical column makes the stand not stable as it could be if not fastened down. Loose fitting design when used as a drill press allowed extra play (not for precession work)

Great little setup.
Easy to put together. Action of the press is smooth. Dremel adapter fits perfectly. Customer service is excellent. It's a nice compact unit that is easily put on a shelf when not in use but can also be disassembled/reassembled if needed. It's a sturdy little press!

It does the job.
The collar that holds your multi tool into the stand should be made of metal for a better fit, and tighter grip. It’s not high quality, but it does work and is accurate when setting depth and such. I suspect that by the end of my project (1500 pieces) it might need to be retired. I have to constantly retighten everything.

Really versatile jig
This rotary tool holder turns your rotary tool into a drill press. For the price, you get the press base, an upright pole, and an adjustable plunging jig that affixes to the pole. The base is very stable, and comes with soft rubber feet that prevent slipping. The jig is very versatile, and can be attached to the pole either horizontally or upright for plunging or for horizontally stabilizing the rotary tool to use for something like routing. I used my dremel with this press, and putting everything together was very simple. The Dremel screws onto the jig, so it's held very solidly with a custom threaded collet. The rotating portion of the dremel sticks through the hole in the bottom of the jig and can be accessed normally. When I received this in the mail, the included instructions were for a different tool, and just a sheet of stapled together printer paper -- but the whole thing is very simple to assemble, so really the instructions were not terribly necessary. I ended up finding an assembly video on YouTube, and looking at the listing on Amazon, I see that that same assembly video is in the pictures as well. So, no harm no foul, and the tool itself is extremely useful and solidly built.

Not for the flex shaft
I got this thinking I would be able to mount it and use the flex shaft with it however you can’t connect the flex shaft while it’s mounted in place. I was however able to use the hanging feature over the main shaft and a large clamp to stop it from toppling because the base IS very light weight so if you want to use it the way I am you will need a clamp to keep it steady.

Great tool for it's designed use. Great customer service from Milescraft.
This tool is is a great product and Milescraft is a stand up company with great customer service. The tool is exactly and described and does exactly what it should. It is a dremel type tool press. It is not a milling machine. I had no issues with poor castings that needed to be fixed. I assembled the press, installed a Teccpo rotary tool and put it to work drilling 1/8” holes in plastic. The tool fit in the press perfectly using the Milescraft supplied locking ring and it did a great job. Amazon’s customer service for this order was terrible. The original order arrived with parts missing and the box with the tool in it torn up. The shipping box was in good condition. The tool had obviously been returned previously. The fact that they would ship a product in this condition is ridiculous. Prime free delivery and free returns apparently does not mean free exchanges when you receive a faulty product. I was offered an exchange for a limited number of different products. An exchange for the same product was explicitly not allowed. A single email to Milescraft resulted in a new tool delivered with a shipping label to return the faulty one. Great job Milescraft!

Milescraft drill stand
I settled on this for use as a drill stand with my Dremel after reading the reviews of both the Dremel and Milescraft stands on US Amazon. Comes in 3 pieces- if you can't work out the assembly, you should not be using sharp tools. Very solid, can be used without fixing to bench so long as the 3 rubber feet are not fitted. Careful adjustment of the 2 brass screws eliminates any play and small holes can be drilled precisely. Dremel mounts firmly in a substantial cast metal bracket. Cons? The finish, particularly of the table, is crude and the components arrive just loose in the box with no packing, although mine had suffered no damage. Using the depth stop will push the drill to one side slightly at the end of the travel. Note that the tool holder cannot be swiveled, the whole assembly has to be removed from the pillar and remounted at 90 degrees (not a problem if, like me, you only want a drill stand).

Good for drilling PCBs
I bought this for drilling PCBs. The reviews for this looked better than for the Dremel equivalent and its cheaper. I've found it to be perfectly adequate for what I want. Its easy to put together. I followed the advice in another review and put some tape around the height guide to eliminate the slack and it is quite accurate enough for my purposes. I use HSS bits rather than carbide as they are much cheaper and less likely to snap. They last long enough for the small number of boards that I make.

Quality Mini Drill Stand. For Deremmel and similar Mini Drills.
There must not be a cheaper ( Low cost ) one of these drill stands ( Micro Drill ) either here on Amazon or any other on-line seller. It is mostly METAL and not like cheap and nasty plastic types. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Also was delivered QUICKLY.

Useful as a chocolate teapot
The pillar moves side to side even after tightening the bolt that secures it to the base (has only two point contact), the drill attachment/drill swivels side to side and the bolt that secures the sliding dept attachment interferes with the handle. I tried to drill aluminium with a 2.5mm drill bit, the drill just slid across the aluminium because there was so much flex in the head.
