Smaller Washer Problem

Watch out for the rubber under-sink washer that fits into the bottom opening. I replaced the original Moen fixture in my 20 year-old bathroom sink with this. The under-sink rubber washer that came with it was not sized like the original. Imagine two volcanos: both the same width with one being slightly lower in height and slopes less. The old washer fit neatly into the sink bottom opening underneath with its rim compressed tightly by the metal washer. The new one did not. It leaked a few drops even with maximum tightening after installation.

Moen 104770 Replacement for Sink

Purchased for a heavy use sink. Superior quality. Worked well with our Moen faucet. We replaced our Moen faucet with another Moen faucet as part of our bathroom renovation. Used this part instead of the one that came with the faucet package. The one with the new faucet was perfectly fine, however, we wanted commercial quality due to the usage of this sink and this part delivers. This was pretty straightforward to install, quality excellent, plating excellent. This is highly recommended. Amazon delivered quickly.

Highest Quality!

I replaced all of the inexpensive feeling overflow drains in my home. Moen, even in their most expensive faucet kits, includes a plastic stopper with a chrome top on it. I am old-school and like heavy brass parts in my plumbing. This kit allows you to exchange those lightweight units with precise, high quality metal. Unlike the old ones, though, the stopper seal is an easily replaced o-ring for a tight seal. Curiously, this kit costs less than the replacement standard one. I attribute that to commercial units only having a year warranty as opposed to Moen's lifetime on the residential units. I don't anticipate needing the warranty.

Little Dicey to Install correctly

Bought 2 of these to replace 20 year old MOEN ones. Getting the original ones out was hard. Getting these in was a struggle. Really have to tighten down the nut on the bottom to get the gasket to finally seat without leaking. The drain stopper is different in the 2 boxes. One fits perfectly and water drains easily, the other has been adjusted 4-5 times and still the water builds up in the sink and doesn't drain correctly.

Chrome Plated Brass Bathroom Sink Drain

Very nice high quality chrome plated brass bathroom sink drain assembly. Even has a rubber seal for the drain seat and an 'O' ring on the stopper. Worth every cent for a top quality product. Easy enough to install. Replaced three of them today in all our bathroom sinks. No Leaks, No issues at all. We use Moen products through out are home.

drain plug slow

The drain plug has to sit at an angle to drain good... I feel like I did the installation correctly; I not a plumber but I do most of my own plumbing.

This is a good replacement part, what I don't like about this part is made in China. Moen couldn't make these in Mexico or Malaysia?
