Moen 22194 not what expected

The strainer was not as expected. The stopper is stationary - therefore it's very difficult to have liquids drain out and still capture those particles that you don't want down the drain. The stopper is solid.

Dissapointed

I have ordered several of these things, different brands/wrong sizes.. I figured if I measured the drain hole and got the matching brand it would work. Nope. It plugs when I don't want it to and won't hold water when I DO need it to. I have tried pulling the plastic or rubber part up and down to make it plug my soapy dishwater. To no avail, it works about 1 out of 10 times if I fiddle w/it enough. I mine as well get an old rag and stuff the drain with it. Very frustrating experience. I have resorted to using pans or containers for my soapy water instead of the basin. Until I get brave enough to order another drain. Cheap material. Not sure what it's made of, but feels like plastic coated w/metallic paint or something.

quality, fit, performance

Great quality. The part number matched with the product number, BUT IT DID NOT FIT.

Perfect fit and works well in drain.

Gives the choice for grinderr side of double sink. Works great as stopper and catches the small piecees so drain does not clog.

Defective

I installed a new Moen kitchen sink with two of these baskets in July of 2018. By May of 2019, one of the baskets wasn't working properly because the black rubber stopper part of the basket dislodged from the basket and literally stopped water all of the time. I feel it must have been a defective product, since the strainer basket in the other side of the sink is still working just fine. I've ordered a replacement and we'll see how long this one lasts!
