Low cost base for rainbird impulse sprinkler

Lightweight spike for impulse sprinkler. Works well . Wish it had an appendage of some sort to push it into the ground aside from the sprinkler head that is attached. Appears to be a good value. Unfortunately, not durable for very hard ground.

Good spikes, bad end-caps

The metal spikes themselves are durable and manufactured well. They fulfill my purpose with direct attached sprinklers, and sprinklers mounted on PVC risers. (Pay attention to the top screw thread being 1/2", and the side m/f being 3/4" GHT.) However, the plastic endcaps are crap. When you send water pressure, they can easily break right away. It's important to fix them by replacing the plastic one with a brass endcap. Might as well replace the washer with a silicone one as well. Also, use Loctite 545 or similar thread sealant to prevent leaks. I'm using brass fittings all around with these, and running them successfully all over the garden. So far so good, using every day for 2-3 weeks. No data on if they're winter-proof, or best taken inside. I plan to blow the lines out with a compressor, and hope for the best.

I have used these before when the original spice got broken. Wonderful to not need to replace the entire unit.

Decent product but the black plastic end cap leaks a bit.

Decent product but the black plastic end cap leaks no matter how securely I tightened it. The end cap needs a better gasket or rubber washer or you can do what I did, I put teflon tape on its threads and 90% of the leak was gone and then I ensured that all threaded connections were tight. The spikes are decent but only time will tell how well they fare against the weather. I hope that the galvanized spikes dont rust away in a few months. For the price its worth it. Four stars and not 5 because of the leaky plastic end cap. I bought 2 of them and both had slightly leaky end caps. I hope this review helps.

Great solution if you don’t have in ground sprinklers.

These are great for attaching in ground sprinkler heads like the Rain Bird 5000 (with a 3/4” to 1/2” adapter) to a hose and timer. You can daisy chain them if you have enough water pressure. Mine isn’t great at around 30psi but I can still run 2 off the same hose at full spray distance, 3 with some drop off in distance. I just wish they made these in 3/4” size.

They work but as other reviews say they bend easy

They hookup easy and do not leak. Other reviews said that they bend easy and they do if there are any rocks. They are cheap to buy so it is a trade off but I would likely get them again if needed.

Verdaderamente no puedo creer que se atrevan a a poner 10 PACK justo al inicio de su descripción y lo que te llega son solo 3 aspersores (3 pack). Es la 2nda ves que me sucede que algún vendedor vendedor pone información falsa sobre la cantidad o capacidad del del producto. No creo volver a comprar nada de alguien que trata así a sus clientes.

Works as it should.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. However you’ll need something called a nipple preferably a plastic one to connect whatever you want to connect it to. In my case I connected it to a sprinkler.
