Lightweight and runs large - REVIEW UPDATED

UPDATE: I wore this belt for 3 weeks to support a broken rib. I was on a vacation with long airplane flights, carried backpacks, and walked miles daily. The belt helped to support my rib and back. I had to wrap the belt tight occasionally and that necessitated the Velcro being attached directly to the belt fabric, not the other Velcro tab. I was worried that this would shred the fabric but it did not! it was nice to be able to adjust the tightness of the belt easily. I was hesitant to buy this because of the negative reviews but it has been a great little rib belt. And it is still elastic and in great shape to use again (I hope not though!). I updated my stars from 3 to 4. It is a very comfortable belt. I've worn the rib belt for two days now with no tearing or shredding as reported by other users. However, the big flaw is that there are velcro tabs on either end that should match up to secure the belt. Unless you are the exact size of the belt, the female velcro is useless. I have to wrap the belt halfway again around my torso to get any kind of compression. The male velcro does attach to the belt material securely but I can see the lightweight material eventually shredding from adjusting and removing the belt on a daily basis. The belt material is lightweight and elasticity holds once you get the belt positioned. It is comfortable to wear and it does help secure my broken rib while allowing me to breathe. it stays in place and doesn't roll. But if you need a heavier (tighter) compression, you might want to get something sturdier. Overall, it is a comfortable belt to wear when you need light compression. It fits nicely under the girls so there is no pinching there either. I will use this until it wears out but I also ordered a heavier belt to wear (with two straps) when I am lifting or need a heavier compression factor.

Good fit nice design poor material construction. Please re design.

I bought this agan for two important reasons. First reason its is well designed much better than any other product Ive had, well done designers. Second reason I bought another, the first one fell apart because its badly msnufactured; the stck to velcro strip stcks to the body of the fabric and it shreds. Im pre war so I just darned the first one back to wear around the house. I hope to protect the second from itself and wear it to be seen. People have asked if it was decorative, I explain its pretty functional.

Belt was torn

I bought this rib belt for a neighbor that had fallen and broken a rib. Item arrived, I gave it to her and later she asked if it were used. I told her it was supposed to be new. I saw the box had been opened but did not inspect belt. She said it had an inch long tear in it. Tried to get her to give it to me to ask for refund but she didn't want to cause trouble. Disappointed.

Fabric ripping

Overall good product, needed it for my daughter for her ribs for sports and the second time she used it the fabric ripped and the hem fell apart in multiple places. It did it’s purpose but now I need to get another one

Wrong sizing listed

Website said 29 to 38 inches, box says 19 to 29 Inches. Both are wrong. I measure 34" and the item is too lose to offer any support for my fractured rib. Also the velcro section is only 2.5 inches wide, so it can't possibly cover the 10 inch range it claims.

I ordered this to help me over broken ribs,but it turned,the material fell apart,just putting on 3 time. It's good that I ordered more different ones!

Did not work for me

Needed the compression over my posterior rib cage. Did not stay in place whenever I sat down. I am 5' 6"... 155 lbs so if I was thinner it probably would have been better
