It is waterproof, but ..

The storage space of the bag once it is sealed is 9" x 5" x 2.5" It took me a couple times before I got this bag to seal right, mainly because the instructions says to fold the lip over twice, but it needs to be folded 3 times. Water leaked in the bag when I only folded the top twice. Luckily it was just a test. The phone pouch is definitely waterproof but was very hard to close then reopen. Since this is a 2L bag I couldn't get both hands in there to seal it. I had to pinch the seal with one hand a little bit at a time then was very skeptical it was properly sealed. So I had to check every little bit of the seal a little bit at a time to make sure it was properly sealed. I took off one star due to this difficulty, however, the zip lock seal is heavy duty and seals really tight. The phone pouch is much larger than the Galaxy S22 I stuffed in there and it had an extra thick heavy duty case on. The touch screen was impressively responsive inside the bag and it has its own separate screen protectoron it. I didn't have to apply much pressure. Just had to make sure the clear plastic window was in contact with the screen. The bag is made of thick rubber and it feels high quality. Seems like this bag will last a while and am pleased with this purchase.

Came as described. It's material like a wet suit. I wasn't expecting that but didn't really read into it either before purchase. It's sturdy and looks like it will be fine if it would fall into the water during kayaking. I would def purchase again. My android phone fit great in the sleeve which is located on the inside. Love the strap and it can be adjusted and situated into 2 different areas giving you different ways to wear it on your shoulder.

Basically a zip lock bag

The seal is exactly like a zip lock bag. . Expected more from pelican. Body of bag is stiff and will keep shape it was shipped in for a long time. Will it work? Probably in rain situations. I would not trust it for water activities.

Kept My Stuff Dry in Jamaica

I took this with me on a cruise recently. One stop was in Jamaica where we did an excursion to the Blue Hole. It kept all my stuff dry when jumping off a 15’ platform into the Blue Hole and swimming around for a while. It’s well made and great to hold a phone and several other things like a wallet, sunscreen and some sunglasses.

Missing strap, cheap plastic

Didn't include the "included carrying strap." Plastic feels soft and pliable and not very durable. Have many other dry bags that are much more solid. The top doesn't have magnets to hold it closed it is just held closed by folding the top over. Other small bags have a secondary method to keep the top closed. The phone window uses a ziplock bag type closure and not easy to close. Did not test the water resistance of it because the missing strap means it's going back to Amazon.

It’s says it comes with a strap, there are picture of the bag with a strap, and it’s fairly useless without a strap (to me) . . . . so I bought garbage, apparently.
