I got this for my FIL for their anniversary. He loved turning the handles as he is an avid woodworker. They turned out lovely

Overpriced and incomplete

I spent a grand total of $34.68 only to find that I didn't read the fine print and now have to pay $11.85 for two tiny bushings! Over 45.00 for four (very poorly laser marked) spoons. Penn State Industries will not receive any more of my business, not that they care one bit.

As advertised

The project was fast and enjoyable but I felt the price was too high.. perhaps it would be a good present or decoration. I made mine out of a cedar branch and then finished it with several coats of polyurethane.

Possibly the BEST kit to learn the basics of wood turning. A beautiful and forgiving lathe set.

Love this kit. 4 stars only because I feel that for the price, bushings should be included. However, the design of these spoons is so well done that you can guesstimate the fit - cutting the wood to precise bushing sizes is really not necessary ( unlike most pen kits, where exact 'fit' can actually affect the pen functionally)!

Nice but........

The measuring spoons look good when the wood is spun, but the price of $20.00 each makes.them too expensive. If someone wanted to sell them, they would have to ask $40.00 to make the wood and effort worth it.
