Works perfectly for my garden related project.
I'm a gardener, not a wood burning artist. Plants pots can cost quite a bit of money and I had a lot of 5 gallon buckets and other large plastic containers that would make fine plant pots if I could find a way to put drainage holes in them. I saw a tutorial online about using a wood burning tool to melt drainage holes for plants in 5 gallon buckets. So I ordered this one because it was basic and low priced ,from a trusted craft brand. It's very simple to use, plug in and switch on. I used the pointed dotting tip and it melted perfectly round holes in all of my buckets and pots. As someone with a lot of plants, this is a money saver because I can now turn anything into a plant pot. I'm pretty happy with it.

Fun little tool
I didn't expect much for the price but am so positively surprised. I have been able to create some beautiful little wood etching pieces. It's great for anyone who is new to this art and wants to try it out without breaking the bank.

It Burns!!!
Have you ever been baking an accidently burned yourself on the oven and thought "gosh, if only I could do that in a more environmentally friendly way!" Then this is definitely the product for you. I bought it to carve stars and other fun things into little sliced tree branch medallions as rustic tree ornaments - it was hot enough, when applied with minimal force, to burn a hole through 1/4" thick log slices so that I could use twine to hang them rom my tree. Although I don't think that this was intended to burn your flesh off, that's just an added bonus! It comes with a few different heads, so you can write in fine detail, write in larger detail, or carve away at whatever your canvas may be. If you have something that isn't burned and you would like to burn it, this is a pretty good way to go about doing that.

Perfect for beginners
I got this to make specialized coasters for my family for Christmas. Works great but over time the tip gets loose and then it needs to be turned off to be cool enough to tighten. So that’s a bit annoying but works as it should.

Great value, and great tool for Woodburning beginners!
This little tool is amazing! For the price you pay, it comes with all the basics you need to start learning how to woodburn. I'm a beginner and I found this very easy to use. After a while, it tends to get really hot, so I just take break to let it cool down. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this product!
