It was a nice bracket and I'm putting 4 stars only because it seemed not heavy and durable. Will see how long it lasts.

Very good quality hanger

I used this hanger to replace a broken one on our upstairs handrail. It was exactly as advertised and is very strongly made I don't think that this one will break . Came with a hanger to rail metal strap and the screws to fasten the strap to the hand rail and the wall. Very satisfied with this hand rail support bracket.

May not provide the required clearance...

In my part of Canada the building code requires a minimum of 50mm (about two inches) between the handrail and the wall behind. I found that I was unable to achieve this distance without installing blocks between the handrail bracket and the wall. Be sure to check on your local code requirements before ordering this product. A longer bracket might save you trouble and preserve aesthetics.
