Do not skimp on safety equipment

Summary: I previously bought the Rope Logic offering, and will be comparing it to the RNA one for this Vine review. Both companies make quality gear, lots of +4 star ratings. Observations: This hitch cord is used to make a prusik knot, which is commonly used in climbing applications. The typical lengths are 28, 30 and 32". Both of these are 8mm (5/16") diameter cord, which is common. Thicker cord, such as 10mm tends to be easier to release, but also doesn't grab as tightly (relatively). Pros: Great quality offerings; both made in the USA. Cons: RNA is slightly newer than Rope Logic, and has less ratings/reviews. Conclusion: Rating the Ocean Logic 5-stars, and the RNA 4-stars (newer manufacturer). Everybody uses ocean for a reason.

This, black beeline, and HRC are the classic cords that you really can't go wrong with.

Great for saddle hunting

I use this as a prussik hitch on my tether while in my saddle deer hunting. I use it on a 1/2" rope. Works great!

Works well with 12 strand 1/2" climbing rope

I had a 10mm eye to eye on a 12 strand Blue Ox climbing rope and thought I was stuck with a rope that would not work with SRT and a Rope Wrench, but switching to this saved my butt.
