Since this is a somewhat basic mix of chemicals that are essential for the health of many calcifying marine organisms, it's really difficult to say whether I love it or hate it because calcium chloride is standard fare in terms of calcium supplementation, but I will mention this one important thing I'm uncertain that anybody else making a comment has caught onto yet, (or if they have, they didn't write anything about it)... Although, this product label reads, "Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium", it actually contains more than just calcium! Read the front of the label and in small print you will see that it also contains some magnesium and strontium. In the back of the label you will see the ingredients list, and it contains CALCIUM CHLORIDE, MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE, and STRONTIUM CHLORIDE. Under "Guaranteed Analysis" it says that per 1 g of this product, there is approximately 17 mg of magnesium and approximately 0.34 mg of strontium. I mention the chemical ingredients of this product for a reason, BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOSING INTO YOUR AQUARIUMS! Do not make the mistake of not checking what it is you are adding and how much of that additive you are adding to your tank. If you are also supplementing magnesium and strontium into your aquarium along with this product, then I highly recommend that you add this product first and then add the magnesium and/or strontium later, then test your water for levels of magnesium, calcium, and strontium. Anything else about how my corals or whatever marine animals in my aquarium are doing because of this product is purely anecdotal and should really be taken with a grain of salt, (no pun intended).

New tank
This gave our new coral set up a solid start. Tank already had some calcium, so it only took one day of using this and our levels were exactly where we needed it. Didn’t mess with our other levels either!

Increase calcium level
This product really helps to maintain more stable calcium level in tank.Need follow directions so you do not increase the level too quickly.

I have always used Kalkwasser for my reef calcium needs. But after trying this product, I will never go back. After a year of the tank being set up, I see that just after a couple of weeks my corals are all ready starting to show improvement.

awesome calcium supplement
Twice a week, I add this supplement along with Reef Builder (PH stabilizer) to my reef tank. I don't dose anything else and my SPS corals are healthy. Thanks Seachem for making easy to use products!

I needed to up my calcium and magnesium in my reef tank, thought I'd try this. I'm new to the marine hobby and didn't want anything complicated. It easy to calculate how much to add to the tank and dissolves very quickly. Very happy with this product.
