Works for my kayak

I thought this wouldn't keep myself in my kayak in place but it works well. Replaced a heavier 3lb anchor with this one and should have done so a long time ago. Only downside is that the collar doesn't want to stay in place to keep the prongs folded up during transport but thats okay for me.

Quality seems good

I have not used the anchor yet, but it seems sturdy and well-constructed. I will try it with my kayak next week, after getting a new rope (below). The hole at the bottom of the anchor is too small for the 6mm marine rope that I ordered with it, though. I didn’t see a dimension noted in the product description for the anchor, but you’ll want a thinner rope, at least for the 1.5 pound anchor. UPDATE: The ring can be unscrewed and attached to the other hole. This may provide more flexibility for some users.

Sloppy lock on the galvanized finish, I'd suggest a painted version

My second of these

It’s a bit too light. We use it on a canoe but it does help hold position against wind and light currents. Use a crew driver or something to really tighten the screw lock. I lost the first one when the pin came undone after about a year.

Does What I Need It To Do

Use with Scotty removable anchor mount when fishing alone in 14' boat. Holds decently on small lakes. Not particularly refined...lots of rough edges to the metal causing lock spindle to catch and not seat occasionally. It's ok.

Super little anchor. I use to determine depth of a river for ice fishing and looking forward to using while kayaking when I want to anchor down.
