For smaller bike frames, look for longer screws
The slide cage allows you to more easily remove your water bottle by allowing you to give it a slight sideways or diagonal pull, overcoming the problem of the water bottle hitting the top tube of the frame before you can fully remove the water bottle, especially when you have an extra tall water bottle or a smaller bike frames. The plastic is relatively flexible and durable, have had it on my bike fit over a year. So far works great! No rattles and keeps a firm grip on the bottle. Gives me just enough clearance with an extra long bottle on a small frame. Before I had difficulties with a standard bottle length and a regular cage. Watchouts: 1. Decide which side of the bike you want to remove your water bottle from and assist accordingly before installing. You won't be able to remove it from the opposite side without stopping and redoing it. 2. The standard mounting screws on your bike may not be long enough to mount this cage, since the sections of plastic are much thicker than a standard metal cage. You might have to go to Home Depot or Ace Hardware to find longer mounting screws, especially if you are also mounting a pump bracket or other accessory under the cage. *** I hope SKS considers providing extra long mounting screws with this cage in the future for 5 Stars***

So hard to get out of packaging I almost returned it
It should not require two tools to get this out of the packaging. Just use tape or rubber bands to hold the package on. I need a wrench and screw driver to ge the screws out so I could install it . Was a little difficult to adjust and attach to bike but now seems fine.

Works well on my rode bike.
Works well on my rode bike. Side entry and reversible make it work on either the seat tube or down tube. Sturdy enough for my use. Holds water bottle plenty tight.

Scratches bottles but will never drop one on the trail.
This is the most secure bottle cage I have ever used. But be warned, as you pick up dirt and grit on your bottle and cage, the extra tension and surface area on this cage will scratch the outside of your bottle pretty badly. Still, that's to be expected, just looking at the design of this cage. 5 stars for holding up for the last 4 years and never losing any of my bottles!

Cage works great, water bottle slides in and out pretty easily. Attaching this to the SKS adapter was difficult though - the cage gets in the way and only allows for barely even a quarter turn of the screw.

Bargain price
Got x2 for a bargain price. Excellent quality and bought for bike packing so I could use it with a mid bag. You can’t really insert from the side but more of an angle but that’s sufficient to insert the bottle ok, at least for my setup.

Great for side-ways loading of bottle
Great for sideways loading of bottle, handy when you have a top-tube tool bag which makes it difficult to pull bottle up from cage like usual. Bought this years ago, never had a bottle fall out in all this time, very impressed, so much so that just bought another.

Be aware, too tight!!!
The design is totally counterintuitive of the name and expectation of a bottle cage. You cant physically slide a bottle into and out of the cage as the fitting it WAY too tight. I have a standard insulated water bottle and it holds it perfectly fine after forcing it in but isn’t practical in the slightest if you wanted to quickly slide it out and take a sip. You would need to literally stop your bike and yank it off. I feel like the purpose of a “slide cage” is to be able to slide your drink in and out while on the move while still keep the bottle from falling. This doesn’t do that. There are better designs for this that universally hold bottles while maintaining the sliding functionality.

Nicht für alle Durchmesser
Der Flaschenhalter von Slidecage eignet sich nicht für alle Flaschen, sondern nur für schmale, wie sie die Firma auch selbst anbietet, aber der Vorteil: Es passen Getränkedosen genau hinein. Da steck ich schon manchmal eine Bierdose rein, um die Spießbürger aus unserer Straße zu ärgern. Jedenfalls passt dies Teil in die vorgesehenen Gewinde der Mountainbikes, wenn man vorher die Schutzschrauben dort herausdreht. Der Einschub ist von rechts und dann wird alles gut gehalten, was passend ist, selbst bei einer rasanten Talabfahrt über Steine und Wurzeln. Das flexible Plastik ist etwas dehnbar und hält alles fest, umklammert es und lässt es nicht mehr los. Locker kann man dann die Flasche oder Dose wieder nach rechts leicht entnehmen. Da kommt Freude auf und fünf Punkte sind nicht zuviel.

Non soddisfatto questa volta
Essendo già conoscente del marchio ho acquistato ad occhi chiusi il portaborraccia. Arrivato ho notato subito la solidità del prodotto e trovavo utile il fatto che poteva essere orientato a destra o sinistra l'estrazione a seconda della propria preferenza. Purtroppo una volta montato e testato mi sono reso conto che la plastica con cui è fatto è troppo rigida e poco "elastica" dunque non si riesce a estrarre la borraccia lateralmente.. inoltre non ha una forma completamente tonda quindi tende a schiacciare la borraccia e creare uno sfregamento ogni volta che si estrae che danneggia l'estetica della borraccia. Avviato il reso e ahimè restituito, questa volta sks non mi ha soddisfatto.
