Bought for non-DLX version of Solo 425 / 475 sprayer

I previously purchased the "non-DLX" version of the Solo 475 sprayer. The primary difference between it and the DLX model is the lack of a pressure gauge on the wand to determine the pressure at which you are spraying. One of the criteria for accurate broadcast spraying from a backpack sprayer is a relatively constant pressure (in addition to a constant walking pace, a good, calibrated fan nozzle, etc.). With this gauge on my sprayer, I can monitor and more easily maintain 45-50 psi pressure on my spray throughout. It does not regulate pressure, only monitors it; it just lets me know the rate at which I need to pump the handle to maintain a constant pressure. Installation is a piece of cake on the Solo wand. Just unscrew the cap on the non-DLX wand and screw this on. Since I bought my Solo 475 sprayer brand new in box for less than 1/2 price, the cost of the gauge was not a problem to me; overall, my total purchase price was a great deal. -1 star, though, because I think the cost of this gauge is a bit high for what it is. Unfortunately, to get a plug-and-play solution for the Solo sprayer, you need to pay it (unless you can figure out a way to adapt another pressure gauge to the Solo wand).

update: broken .. direct fit addition to my solo pump sprayer

2nd Update: Replacement gauge purchased... reinstalled... broken lens after 1 use. It is VERY fragile. I'm not talking about abuse... I'm talking about setting it on the garage shelf and the spray wand came off the clip on the sprayer and swung down onto the shelf - maybe 12" total fall distance. For a yard/outdoor use tool, this should be way more durable. Use caution in buying. Old review below. The gauge got moisture inside it and the needle stopped moving. Then it basically fell apart. The lens of the gauge is loose and moves around separately from the housing. This has only been used about 4 times to spray a 2000sf area. Perfect fit and a great addition to my manual pump sprayer to allow me to visually confirm that I need to pump it again to maintain a steady/consistent output. Makes a manual pump sprayer a lot easier to use if you want the stability of a battery pump but don't want/need to spend the money on one.

Full pressure @ 50psi only shows around 17psi. On gauge

Useful Sprayer Accessory

This pressure gauge fits perfectly on the Solo shut-off valve. I can set and maintain the appropriate psi for the nozzle I'm using.

Failed to work in less than four months

Poor quality. The needle in the gauge stopped moving after using the sprayer no more than ten times.
