Adhesive from continuous usage pulls skin off

I was looking for moleskin callus pads the use on a pressure point on my 90 year old diabetic Dad's foot to prevent a future foot ulcer. It took a year to heal the ulcer and determined that using a moleskin pad. We used for a little over a month and upon return to the podiatrist was told now to use because it was pulling skin away from the underside of his foot. Be aware that this is a strong adhesive different of that used on actual moleskin pads. I had used the moleskin previously with no issues and was looking to save a $ which I now know isn't worth it.

The product is used for a foot problem. Podiatrists provided this pad previously.
