Great patrol light, just get the right holder
I’ve had many many lights over my 23 years of patrol. This is a great light. A lot is covered about the light in other reviews. As you can see in pic, I added some rubberized grip tape to the area where the light naturally held with your hand. The ergonomics are awesome. Just add some rubberized tape to the ergo area and it’s perfect. Not much info in reviews about compatible holsters. If you’re looking for a high quality holster for molle for this great light, the one from zero9 holsters is the winner. Check them out. Took a few to find the right combo, but zero9 wins. They also have a belt version. Pics attached. Update after being used on patrol as primary light for over a month on graves. It’s running solid. Even after numerous drops. The light is built solid. Very happy with this design. I’ve been asked about it from others I work with. Now several are running them. Great job Streamlight. Another update another month later. This light is pretty tough. We’ve all had various items roll off our lap and onto concrete when getting out. Maybe just me haha. It’s definitely cop proof for this cop because I drop crap all the time. It’s also one of the few Streamlights still assembled in the USA…. A BIG majority of the Pro Tac series lights are made in China. I learned this as my son starts his career. He ordered a ProTac light. “Made in China”. Disappointed in Streamlight. This one is still assembled here at home.

For the serious brightness enthusiast
I got this because my dad had a Streamlight Stinger that was bulkier, but it had insane brightness about it (800 lumens). I wanted my own and saw this one was more compact and more fitting of what I wanted. It advertised 2,000 lumens on high, which I figured would massively outclass my dads, but unfortunately it held at about the same brightness by comparison. Not a big deal for me, hence the 4/5 stars, but I love how small and bright it is along with being able to recharge the battery instead of having to buy new ones. Even on low it still has a really good brightness/range to it. I saw reviews praising it for police/security jobs, but I only wanted it for sweeping the yard at night. Does the job wonderfully, would buy another if I needed it.

Great light for price, good features
I have been using the light on duty for about 6 weeks and I like it a lot. I like how you can manually select the brightness with the switches. I like the button placement on the side of the flashlight. Not a huge fan of the rear button, but I hardly use that button anyways. Major downside is that the duty gear industry has not caught up. There aren't great options for duty belt holders for this flashlight. I tried carrying it on my vest and didn't like that. However, easily and comfortably fits in a back or front pocket. The only other problem this creates is that sometimes pulling it out of your pocket flips the brightness switch to a different setting, but that is easily correctable. I would recommend this flashlight. I use this with the smaller Pro-TAC from Streamlight and they use the same batteries. I have not used under prolonged application yet like a building search or searching woods or a field yet, but I'm sure it would be great. A flashlight that can do 800 lumens for as long as this can at this price and quality is a great deal.

It’s bright!
Update I emailed Streamlight and they called me directly to discuss the issues. The yellowing of the light is normal, they offered to swap it out for another Streamlight product If I wanted but I will not do that since I know it’s normal. As for the other issue they sent me a new battery cradle which fixed the issue! So all is well! This flashlight is bright and the built in battery life indicator is nice! However, mine out of the box has some issues. Putting it in the charger to charge for a few hours results in the LED rapidly blinking, I put my other stinger in the same charger and it doesn’t do that…reading the manual, leads me to believe there is a problem with either the batteries or the the light itself. So unfortunately I’m going to return it. The flashlight also has a yellow ish tint on the lower settings which I’m not sure is normal? On the highest settings, there is a very clear blue circle, again, not sure if that’s normal or not as well. My previous stinger, doesn’t have that either.

Better than ever
Been buy streamlight for years glad to see they listen to customer feedback. Love the way it doesn't roll away when u set it down. Another improvement is the button in the back that come in handy more then one already. The toggle switch for light intensity is an A+ as well it was annoying to press thru the setting eveytime u wanted to go from low to mid. Overall thus gets a A++ rating from me.

Great rechargeable flashlight - going on 2 years
I've had this going on 2 years now and use it every day. No joke. Especially for doggie doodie duty. Love the fact that there are 3 light level settings. I've dropped it / knocked it over several times and it is still working great. The hanger/charger is really good too. It is a tight fit, but it will hold and charge the flashlight - no problem. Only now and I starting to see diminishing life from the battery, but once the indicator starts showing red, pop it in the charger overnight and I'm good to go next day.

Awesome flash light
Stream light flashlights speak for themselves, this is my 12th different light and yes all stream lights, love the 3 position switch for brightness. Only neg too add is when charging red light is solid and fully charged red light blinks seems backwards but u get use to it. Buy it you will not be disappointed

The media could not be loaded. Ya tengo más de un año con esta linterna y sin ninguna falla, la uso todas las noches ya que me dedico a la seguridad nocturna y la luz es superior a los modelos anteriores de las linternas Stinger, lo único malo es que por la forma que tiene es difícil conseguir una funda que le quedé y hasta la fecha la tengo sin funda, en el vídeo la intencidad de luz empieza bajo,medio,alto a una distancia de 40 metros.

Streamlight is Built to last
my previous Streamlight Stinger LED lasted me 15 years (and counting) of daily use and abuse as a field mechanic. I anticipate this to last me another 15. It is smaller and lighter than its predecessor.
