Perfect replacement

This item replaced my faulty awning motor for aCarefree awning and was approximately 15 years old. Before you decide on this, make sure you have 12-13v DC volts at the awning when the retract/ extend switch is pressed.

This didn’t come with all the parts that was needed to work

Sad to say I just set up some time to get this part put on my RV because a gear was busted on mine so I was informed you guy don’t just sell the gear so I had to buy the hole part. That said the only dang thing this part was missing was why I needed in the first place. Now I look on here and it says I only had 30days to return so I’m stuck with a brand new part that I didn’t need in the first place. I only needed the gear that’s in between the arm of the owning and the motor shaft so as of now I’ve been robbed in a way that makes me write this sort of crazy that the darn gear can’t be replaced seems like a good way rope someone into buying and wasting a lot of Money and time. I could be a very good sales man for you if the part was the right one. If there’s any way we can make this right I wouldn’t mind that at all.

Perfect Replacement on my 20ft Carefree Awning-2011 Heartland Cyclone - Best Price Too

While I do think these parts are way overpriced, after much research on the internet and after visiting two of the "big name" RV Sales & Parts businesses, this was the best price I found anywhere. It includes the motor and complete gear assembly. This was very easy to install. I unrolled my awning a couple of feet, got up on a good ladder, tied the awning support arm so that it could not extend further. (It will when you remove the old motor if not secured.) On some awnings, a couple of pop rivets need to be drilled out and replaced. Still not too big of a deal but you will need a special tool to reinstall. Mine was only a matter of removing about 10 or so small phillips head screws, unplugging the wire connectors, and then slapping the new one into place. These do fit several different styles so make sure you know exactly what you've got. This took me maybe 30 mins to install. Really easy. Shipping was quick and packing was great.

Very easy to install took about 2 hrs with 2 people ...

The awning on my redwood 5th wheel stopped work and the repair shop claim I needed to replace everything. Thought I would just replace the motor then realized need to do both the motor and idler at the same time. Got the part number off carefree's website search the Internet found both for $100 less on amazon. Very easy to install took about 2 hrs with 2 people unbolt and rebolt. Perfect Fit And Has Been Working great for a month at the time of review

Mine lasted less than a year then died

I had my new motor installed after my camper went to Camping world to get new awning material put on. The motor worked fine before Camping World touched it. They told me the motor burned up on it. Instead of paying Camping World to replace it and cost a arm and a leg I bought the motor and replaced it myself. I have had it since 11/13/2018. Its less than a year old. It has been working fine until today. I was able to extend the awning but when I needed to retract it the awning it would not come back in. It is doing the same thing Camping World said it did before. The motor in it is not getting any power as if its fried again. The awning is now stuck out on the camper so I am having to buy a new motor again to replace this defective one just to get my awning back in.

Perfect replacement. My only beef is that I had to buy the whole replacement kit when all that was broken was a small gear.
