Seems to be a decent TW at a good price point.
I needed a TW to have for spark plug changes. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on something that won't get used often but I also wanted something of decent quality. After searching Amazon for a few hours and reading tons of reviews on quite a bit of different TW, I decided to buy this Tekton 3/8" TW along with Craftsman's 3/8" drive TW. My original plan was to see which one I liked and wanted more and return the other. After seeing them in person I decided I'll just keep them both as I did get both for a pretty good price. The Craftsman was over 40% off at the time also. Each TW is different in its own way. The Tekton is quite a bit smaller, which I actually wanted in a TW, since the majority of its life would be for spark plug changes. The TW bar up near the head is the flat style, which I also wanted due to my flat 4 boxer engine and spark plug location. The TW case is just one of those standard cheap plastic tool cases, but I'm glad it was included with the TW. The laser engravings on the TW bar would have been nicer stamped like they are on the handle, but that would also increase the price, so hopefully they hold up for a while. I'd imagine as long as you take care of your stuff it should last you most of its life. The clicks on the Tekton are alot more 'spread out' compared to the Craftsman. I'm assuming this Tekton must be like a 46 click TW and the Craftsman must be like a 72 click, but didn't see any info on that. Definitely a difference between two there though. Other than that, it's a pretty basic TW but seems to be a decent one at its price point. The TW has a Lifetime Warranty & I read from several that their customer service is top notch. There are 27,619 reviews at the time of this writing and only 3% are 1-star reviews. 81% of those are 5-star reviews. I think that speaks for itself. I've left a review over on the Craftsman 3/8" TW if you'd like to compare the two. I rated this at 3 stars for everything just because I haven't used it yet so I can't speak on anything else until I actually use it. Will update ratings soon.

Works Great
Easy to use and works great. I am sure there are better torque wrenches on the market, but this is a very reasonable price for someone who doesn't need a torque wrench very often. I have not been able to check the accuracy, but it seems to be in the ball park.

Works as it should but wish the handle was a bit longer
I bought this to do some repairs on a BMW. There are three critical needs for a torque wrench. 1) Accuracy 2) Audible/tactile feel when the desired ft lbs are reached 3) leverage. I can't verify the accuracy because I don't have anything to measure it against so I am assuming it is accurate. 2) audible and tactile feel when you reached the desired torque is very clear. No mistaking reaching the desired torque 3) Handle length for leverage is adequate but not as good as some others I looked at. Just a few inches on the handle length would provide a lot more leverage, however if you are only going to 50 or 60 ft lbs it is probably accurate. My needs are 16 to 33 ft lbs so there was no problem at all. The positive about this is it will reach tighter areas. A longer handle may bind in tight spaces. The wrench comes with a plastic case which is very helpful for a tool that you should be careful with to avoid dropping or dirt as it would affect the accuracy.

Works fine.
This is my second torque wrench from this manufacturer. Now I have two sizes. This one works just as well as the first. No complaints at all.

Well worth the price
Received my torque wrench today and I was very surprised. When I opened the protective box I was surprised at the wrench. I was expecting the quality to reflect the price I paid. I inspected the wrench end to end and operated all the functions. The tools construction was way better than the Craftsman I had on hand and in my opinion is a poor excuse for the name Craftsman. The tool has solid feel in the hand and very smooth. The clicks are a little faint to hear but there is a click. The torque settings are engraved and not painted on and are totally readable. I tested the wrench against my Snap on which is lab tested. At 4 ranges the wrench was within plus or minus 2.5lb. on the average. This will be used for home jobs on my two trucks and only time will tell how it will hold out in the long run.

Seems Good
Replaced a cheaper torque wrench with this one - seems to work well - click sounds good and accurate as far as my can tell

Positive click at the 10lb lowest setting.
Have not had it calibrated yet. So i can't answer too much on the accuracy, but it's super close to my older one that starts at 20lb. What impressed me the most is the positive "click" at any point of the entire range. I used it on a C7.1 build and a 3306B rebuild checked out with the other wrench so I used it on about 200 bolts of varying sizes in a week and a half and I love this wrench. No weak break-over like so many I've used that you can barely tell till your halfway up the torque range.

Undecided on Quality
This product did not come with a calibration certificate, which means one is not able to safely tell if the torquing done is accurate. I would advise you, if you want to buy it, is to inquire about and to include the cost of post-purchase calibration when making your decision. This being a measuring tool, how does one know its efficacy if it were not calibrated? I bought this before knowing that a calibration certificate should come with a torque wrench and I cannot return it as I am past the return or exchange period. NOTES: Though this seems obvious to some, please remember that one is supposed to torque bolts manually and to use this as a measuring tool and for final adjustments; this is NOT to be used as a breaker bar or as a ratchet. Also, please remember that this is NOT intended to torque Inch Pound bolts and is to be used for Foot Pound torquing; please research the difference and know your car's torquing specs before you use any torquing tool. Finally, when torquing, please trust your instinct; if you feel that the torquing you have done, before using the torque wrench, is enough and the torque wrench has a long way to torque, stop and evaluate the situation as the torque wrench could be defective; this will stop you from snapping your bolts or damaging expensive parts.

Watch out for fake wrenches
Received my so called Tekton wrench today and it appears to be a fake. It is a cheap looking wrench and definitely appears to be lower quality and different from the photo in Amazon. The name Tekton does not appear anywhere on the wrench except for a small sticker. The real wrench has the name Tekton printed on the tool. If you receive one of these then compare it with the photo on Amazon or the Tekton website. The main reason I picked up on the issue was because they sent the wrong size wrench. Returned immediately.

Very good torque wrench
Bought this torque wrench because my old 3/8 torque wrench the ratcheting mechanism stopped working. I spent HOURS researching for a good torque wrench because i wanted something that was 1. Decent and a known brand that has good quality 2. Precision 3. Cheap but not too cheap. I went to parts stores in my area and all of them are just cheap junk that will break easily with a few uses. I found a few other brands on Amazon but something also kept referring me back to this one, i really didn't know what i wanted and was reading the positive reviews. I personally wanted a Snap-on digital torque wrench but that is WAY out of my budget (maybe in the future when i win the lottery.) I decided to purchase this one, and arrived quick unsuspectingly. I had a job at home that i actually needed it before i put it to use at my job so i thought i would test it out before hand. The results are impressive, now i don't know how precise it actually is (could be +/- 4 degrees off like it says or even more for all i know.) The tool arrived in nice shape unlike other review have stated where it was "used', it came in a bag and wrapped up nice and it a nice box so i believe it wasn't used. The torque wrench isn't that long which i find it great because it's not like your holding a large breaker bar, it is comfortable to hold and isn't long. The handle has knurled grip which is comfortable to hold and doesn't hurt your hand while using unlike some other models that have don't have that. My previous 3/8 torque wrench had a lock built into the handle assembly which was a easy quick change of a setting and locked upon releasing. This one doesn't do that which is disappointing but what can you do (it is what it is for the people that hate that saying.) The lock is a screw type, so you unscrew it then rotate to find the desired setting then screw the lock until it's tight. It does become a pain in the a** if you use it quite often. In addition, the price is quite reasonable for a 3/8 torque wrench. I know these can get up into the hundreds of dollars which can get expensive especially for me. I like good quality and i rather spend a little more to get better but do you think you are going to get better than this? I don't personally think so, this is just the right price for this. This isn't superior quality but it is decent quality. Accuracy i cannot comment on too much because i am not really sure but i think the accuracy is quite bang on in my opinion. You can ask for much more, it even comes in a convenient durable case to protect it. I completely understand this is precision instrument and the more expensive you go the better you get, TRUE but this can do everything a Snap-on can. Don't believe me, go to google and type in Snap-on then search this one *3/8" Drive Adjustable Fixed-Ratchet Click Type Torque Wrench (20–100 ft-lb)* (Unfortunately i am unable to include the link but you can do so if you want.) Now if you did, you may find that the accuracy is different? No! It is exact same accuracy (+/- 4 degrees) with some minor differences, I do not see much difference if you ask me. Therefore for 5 times the price you are getting a little better quality and the same rugged plastic case (most like a different color other than red which this one is. This quite on obvious decision in my mind because at the end of the day you can take the left over money you saved and buy more tools (or beer) which ever you prefer. I have been using this for roughly three weeks now and i can say that this is a very good torque wrench, i have noticed that the accuracy is very good. I have other technicians compare it and some of theirs go way past the torque spec which is over torquing. I can say this is differently a good buy and well worth the money and if this does decide to go, i can just go buy another one. This is a fantastic product and even better than my old one. I would HIGHLY recommend this torque wrench, if you stilling deciding. STOP because you have found one!
