Great for most fish aquarium setups.
I use this power strip for my 20g long aquarium. I only use three outlets (heater, power filter and light). I use lights that have 24/7 features. I like the fact it has a cover over the switch to prevent accidental shutoff. My old power strip would switch off sometimes unplugging the filter for cleaning. Have one extra outlet as a spare. I don't see a need to replace it ever because it's built solid.

Standard outlets. No soldered connections between outlets. Outlets can be reversed if you need the cord to come out the top
I won't repete the features or other complete reviews here. For my purposes, this was nearly ideal. I recharge quite a few batteries. I wanted a bank of Eneloop and PowerMax battery chargers that was stable on top of a tool cart. The design of this device increases stability on top of a tool cart because of it's weight, spacing of outlets and flat surface on top. Most other power strips are either too narrow, too lightweight, have a side-to-side plug orientation instead of up and down or don't have adequate spacing between the outlets. When my battery chargers are plugged into the top plug, they do conceal the bottom plug but they rest on the top and nothing moves when I charge and remove batteries. Most of my chargers are two prong so it doesn't matter if the outlets were upside down to get the cord to come out the back but I do have a few polarized 2 prong and 3 prong devices and that is why I needed to "operate" on this device to change the orientation of the plugs because of where the cord comes out. I noticed a few complaints about the orientation of the cord relative to the outlets and that I why I am leaving this review. I did say this strip was "nearly ideal" above. It wasn't completely what I wanted since the cord comes out the bottom and not the top. I wanted the outlets to have the grounding plug on the bottom with the power cable to go back behind the tool chart. The orientation of the plugs matters if you are using polarized two prong devices (where the neutral blade is slightly wider than the hot blade) and three prong devices. For those that want to have the power cord come off the top of the outlets instead of the bottom, you can change the orientation of the outlets (that is, flip them) and achieve the same result. It can be done pretty easily if you have some Roamex 14 awg cable around and a wire nut. Removing all the screws on the top and taking the plate off reveals that these are standard 15a outlets with 14 awg cooper wire connections between them in push connectors. Nothing is soldered. The outlets can simply be disconnected from the white and black wire coming off the switch and the green ground wire daisy chain. Then the outlets can then be flipped and reconnected. The green ground wire daisy chain is long enough to go to the other side of the outlets when flipped. The only slight problem with doing this is the black wire off the switch to the first outlet is a little shorter than the white wire that comes off the switch. That is because the black wire did go to the near side of the switch and the white to the far side. When the outlets are flipped, the black wire now must go to the far side of the first outlet. It may not be long enough. My was a hair too short. I used a small length of (black) 14 awg insulated solid copper wire and wire-nutted it to the black wire coming off the switch. The length of the white wire coming off the switch is fine since it was on the far side relative to the switch and now it is on the near side. When putting everything back together, attach the outlets to the top plate first but just barely engage the screw. You need some play in the outlets to get them back in. I'm not recommending that anyone do this though. If you are not an electrician or very comfortable with household wiring, things could go wrong. I also had some 14 awg Roamex lying around and the appropriate size wire nut which made this project only take about 10 min. You just need something to pop the wires out of the push connectors. I used a small drill bit.

Excellent Power Strip for All Those Big Adapters
I bought this strip for 2 main reasons: a) to be able to fit more plugs in and b) because it had no power surge protection. Let me explain both of those reasons: Regarding fitting more plugs, it lets you use all the slots when you have plugs with the large headed power supplies. Those big plugs cover the outlet next to them on "normal" power strips so you don't get to use all the outlets. This strip "rotates" the outlet. Such a simple thing that makes organizing easier. Regarding no surge protection, I prefer that because I can use Powerline Ethernet Adapters in it (they doesn't work in surge protection outlets). If you don't know what those adapters are, here is a link:TP-LINK TL-PA511 KIT AV500 Powerline Gigabit Adapter Starter Kit, up to 500Mbps It seems well made & it's worth paying a bit more money for a "dependable" brand rather than the power strips in the grab bin for $9 because it probably means its inside wiring is heftier. The cord is a generous length at 15 feet.

Nice weight and works great
I bought this for our vintage travel trailer that doesn't have electricity.. The trailer used to have electricity, but the control box is shot, so we wanted something to use for lights and a little personal heater. This worked great. My husband popped out one of the outlets (that would have been used to plug in an extension cord to the trailer) and replaced it with the plug of this unit, so this unit is inside the trailer. All we had to do was plug this into a heavy duty extension cord and plugged that into the campsite electrical box, and we had power without having to leave a window or the door cracked open for the cord. It has little holes in each end so you can screw it down. The only problem is, the holes aren't tapped through when you receive it.. My husband had to tap out the holes, but it wasn't a big deal. The unit is made from metal so it's heavy duty and doesn't flip around like many power outlet strips do...The only reason I screwed it down is so it would stay put when traveling. The on off switch has a plastic cover for protection.. You just flip it up to turn the unit on and off. For what we're using it for, we really don't need that cover, but it's there if you want it..

If you've ever been around power strips in an industrial setting either at work or even school, wondering where they'd gotten this fine piece of hardware, you know those types of power strips that you just admire - this is that power strip - you can feel the durability and build quality. Expensive? Yes, but than again inflation.

Large and in charge
Like the "right angle" plugs perfect for my application, and set of plugs just inside garage man door. After buying cheaper lighter duty power bars when you see this you know you have something good. Most power bars say rated at 15A , but that is maybe down hill with a wind at their back, but this one with its HEAVY 15 ft cord , no problem meeting that spec.

Not a surge protector!
This model is called "power-it" not protect-it. It doesn't do surge protection. It's simply a power distributor. The unit is very well built though.
