Good Buy

I ungraded to this release after using the patriot junior release for several years. I liked the shortness of the patriot because I could get my anchor point further back and this one is adjustable enough for me to be able to get it to the length I like. For me the trigger was set too light and I had to increase the trigger pull, which was easily adjustable. The buckle strap is comfortable, has a velvety feel to it and I went with this nylon one instead of the regular edge with the leather strap. I love how you can flip the release back out of the way. Very easy to flip it into the firing position one handed by pushing it against your thigh or chest. Flipping it into the stow away position takes more tension. I noticed the head mechanism was not lubricated by the way it felt so I added some oil to it and it became 5x smoother. The head and trigger also had some sharper edges that I took a diamond file to smooth them out to my liking. With these tweaks it’s a release I love. The small size is great.

Good so far

I gave it all 4s because I have only shot my bow a handful of times with this release since I got it. It feels good out of the box, ready to shoot. It does not come with an alan key to adjust the trigger weight so you need to buy one if you do not already own one. Other than that, it seems like a very sturdy and quality release.

Good release

Ordered it after my last release of 25 years started to fail. It works great, easy to adjust to fit my hand size. Seemed expensive, but when comparing to others it seemed appropriately priced, especially with the adjustment options it comes with. Was able to practice with the release and go hunting with it this year ,which ended with me shooting a doe. Stay safe everyone

I am a 74 yr old lady and love to bow hunt deer. My previous release was a miss and hit routine for the past 8 yrs, I kept thinking I was somehow at fault with good/bad shots. Then my hubby ordered this great release for me, just in time for deer season! I tried it out the next day and aiming spot on! Releases smooth, can actually FEEl the trigger now and can place my finger on it and wait to pull all the way back in an instant! great! maybe I'll get a bear this year, they're getting plentiful around VA

Locks up after 4 shots!

After about 4 shots, it will not release when you pull the trigger. I have to point the bow at the ground and slowly draw down then the release will fire. Not safe at all!

Great

The true fire “extreme” has a thick cotton wrist strap. Where as the normal one has leather. The trigger is set perfect, but not as light as my older Allen company “hair” trigger. I imeadiatly shot tighter groups with this though, so I guess they know best. The only thing I don’t like is the retainer clip for the tag end of the strap, should be facing the other way so it’s not effected when you brush up against you pants.

great product.

Had it for a few months now and its a good release. Not like a hair sensitive release but if you what a more forgiving release, this is a good release. The fold back feature is nice but is very hard to fold back initially but will become easier as you continie to use that fold back feature.v
