Too well made!!
These plugs are so well made I almost died!! Not some wimpy, flexible material here, no, sir. This is real deal stiff plug the hole kinda stuff. They didn't slip snuggly into my kayak scupper holes, I had to drive them with a mallet like some ancient ship builder adding rope and tar to the seams of the vessel. That was fine until... I caught the removal ring on my lure during the back cast. The material was so well made, and inserted so tightly into the scupper hole, that when I brought the rod forward on my cast IT PULLED THE KAYAK OUT FROM UNDERNEATH ME!!!11!! that's right, in some sick twist of the plot I was now in the water clutching my fishing rod with the now cast kayak acting as some giant bobber with me as the bait! As large fish started nibbling at my body in the water, I frantically wound the reel trying to pull myself to the kayak. This action made me more appealing to the lurking denizens of the sea and soon a full on feeding frenzy was underway upon me. As I finally reached the kayak and regained my rightful place atop the kayak, with one mighty tug I was able to free the plug from its' grip in the hull. Of course, the strain of my effort followed that ol' e=mc2 thingy and the now free plug launched backwards over my falling body and into the water behind me. It struck with such force that it rendered senseless one of the huge fish that had been trying to feed on me. Quick as a wink, I lashed the stunned beast to the side of the kayak to take to shore for a reward for the days effort. As I looked around for shore it dawned on me just how far I had been taken out to sea by the kayak turned bobber. Weakened as I was by all the problems that had befallen me, I slowly started the long paddle back to shore. Buoyed by the thought of how all my friends and fellow kayakers would be in awe of my catch, I couldn't wait to get pictures and flood the internet with my prize. However, as I slowly paddled to shore, the remaining fish that had chased me, hungry from the effort and the fury of the chase began feeding on my hapless prey strapped to the side of the kayak. I yelled and cursed them using the paddle in my now blistered hands to chase them away. But the sea was determined to keep her own as the crowds of feeding fish grew; my feeble attempts to defend my catch against the ruthless sea creatures failing as my once prized catch was reduced to a skeleton hanging limply to the side of boat. Exhausted I tried to focus my blurry eyes and keep paddling to shore. Parched by thirst with miles of water offering nothing to drink, I continued my slow trek against tide and wind to the painfully distant shore. When the lights of the beach finally started to focus, and the sounds and smells of town reached me, I took my last bit of energy and put my every fiber of being into a cast with the plug still firmly attached. Sailing ever farther with the sea breeze pushing it aloft, the plug landed with a thud, deeply imbedded in to the solid wood of a pier reaching to the sunset grill. Winding the Zebco 202 with my dying breaths I made land in the darkest of night hours from whence I had started as a happy young man upon my vacation oh so long ago. My feeble cry was answered by a rush of alcohol fueled natives that pulled me from the surf. Gesturing and croaking I tried to explain my experience and pointed lamely at the now empty shrouds hanging in a most untidy fashion from my kayak. With pity they plied me with rum drinks, stole my kayak and fishing gear and left me alone on the beach to face the dawn of a new day. And, that my dear, is why I didn't get home in time to help cook for your family when they came to visit. I swear to it!

Works great.
I purchased 4 of these for my Lifetime Tamarack Pro Angler kayak, and they work good. One scupper in particular has a slight leak with the plug installed, but that could be either the the scupper hole, or the plug, or a combination of both lol. No worries. Very happy with my purchase.

Used on a West Marine inflatable transom drain.
West Marine wanted $69.99 + tax to replace their drain plug and it doesn't last. The universal scupper plugs cost $8.95+ tax for two and it fit perfectly. I haven't put the boat in the water yet, so I cannot comment on it's performance to stop a water leak, but for this price and the tight fit I'll take my chances. I will give it 5 stars if it works to my expectations.

Perfect for Scupper holes on my boat
When I back my boat into the water or when several people stand one back corner, a little water comes in through the scupper holes. Not a huge deal unless my wife has a bag of towels sitting in the back of the boat. I pop these in before we back down the ramp and leave them out in rough water. Very happy with how they work. Much better than the rubber plugs I was using.

Pretty cool.
I bought these so to replace the drain plugs on normal kayaks. I drilled the drain hole wider so the kayak drains way fast. The different sizes make it so you can drain the yak without pulling the plug! I know it's not what they're meant for, of well. If I do pull the plug they're big & bright (easy to find). Only issue is the handle tore under a 3 year olds strength. But she's a girl, I hang with a lot of toddlers & all the girls are the tough ones.
