I am still using this 4 years later - I have never used it with the Vicks pads but only with water for steaming and opening my sinuses. Be very careful not to let it work without any water as it can get damaged. For newbies, make sure you only have a small stream of steam coming out at first, having it open at full blast can result in burning if you do not have a high heat tolerance.

Seemed to help but a bit disappointed
I opened this as soon as I got it in hopes of it helping. I followed the directions and was pretty disappointed at the construction of it when one of the little handles to adjust the vapor flow broke off. It still works as there is another one but paying the amount I did, I wouldn't expect this. I did find it helpful as I understand it for 10 minutes and will keep using it.

Heats quickly and makes lots of steam. Worked great for my sinus infection!

It’s ok but not great
The water trough is tiny so don’t expect long sessions. The face piece is not very pliable so it doesn’t seal against your face. It does ok but could have been made much better in my opinion.

Adequate but somewhat cheaply made.
Have owned two of this same model inhaler. First one broke at the base and not from misuse. Holding cup is small and provides 30 minute max. inhalation. Other than this, it's OK.

I have been suffering from sinus problems for years, finally a product on the market that helps loosen my mucous and allows my body to expell it. Affordable and truly helps me clear my nasal passage

Strong Plastic smell
I haven’t used this yet for its intended purpose but out of the box there was a very strong plastic smell. I ran water through it a couple times to see if that helped and I’m airing it out too. Maybe the Vicks thingie will help mask the smell.

Value for Money
I was searching steam inhaler but couldn’t find any good product. Came across Vicks inhaler. I find it good product. Only issue is that it’s meant for 120V while I live in Singapore and we use 230V power supply. Amazon help desk asked if I want to return the product but I preferred to keep it. I had to buy additional converter to use with it (which increased the total cost). Voltage information should be mentioned in product description.

Good source of steam, too bad about the chemical smell in the beginning
Pros: -provides steam for a while -has a wide opening -has adjustment on steam that rise -helps keep my sinuses open Cons: -very nasty chemical smell when first used. Takes a lot of steam sessions to finally clear. Odor is coming from both the base where the water is held, and the plastic top. I couldn't use it until I had spent several days getting the chemical residue cleared with many many repeated steam runs. -can not be moved while in use as it has boiling water in the base. -I've never been able to use it for more than a few minutes as the steam is very hot, and I just put my face over it and don't rest it on the plastic top

Great product - great service
Have used it for 3 days and has helped me more with me lung congestion after a bad cold then the inhalers I got from the doctor. Makes a lot of steam and fast. I had it closed as far as it goes and still had more then I needed. The product also came with one packet of a eucalyptus soaked pad that fits into one of the two slots in the steam chamber. Definitely recommend this product.

This inhaler is easy to use and is very effective, compact making it easy to store. I would recommend.

Faulty device
The product didn’t work in Singapore, even after using a universal adaptor. Wrote to the seller, but didn’t receive any response. Wouldn’t recommend it.
