They see him rollin
They’re not amazing or stylish, but they help my kid learn how to ride his bike. He’s pretty embarrassed with them on, and they’re loud as hell, but they were easy to put on and get the job done

Call wald for 1.25 braces if 3/4 don’t fit
Unfortunately the braces for the 16 to 26 inch training wheels don’t fit the 20 inch bike I have. Their tubes on the Bike are several mm too fat for them. Technically the training wheels that I bought are the wald 742 training wheel set for 16 to 26 in bikes. The braces included only fit 3/4 inch tubes on a bike. You can measure the diameter of your tube with a measuring tape to find out if they will fit. However, the Wald 10252 training wheel set for the 16 to 20 in set I believe contains braces that will fit tubes up to 1.25” but will also work with the 742 training wheel set wheels if needed. If you call the wald llc company at 1-606-564-4078 and talk to the secretary and get the email of one of their sales rep, preferably dan, they will send you an address in which to mail 10 dollars to buy just the braces for the 10252 training wheels and they will include a 1 inch adaptor set to keep the braces tight to the frame. It’s a hassle but should be well worth it since they seem very thick and durable. My bike also has a shorter axel and these work all except the brace fitting the tube. Getting the new braces will make them perfect. Ten bucks more Expensive but perfect. Another way to find the perfect training wheels is as follows. 1877bikeaid answers questions by returning your call.

Not bad for the intended bike frame size use
I bought quite a few training wheels before purchasing this one. Wald 742 Training Wheels are more suitable for 20 inch frame and up, definitely not for a 16 inch frame. Of course like anything else that is mass produced there will be the need for some adjustments. The brackets that hold the wheels' bracket perpendicular to the ground did not fit the type of bike frame I have, as this particular frame is built of oval shaped tubing. These brackets are made to fit a round tubular frame, so take that in consideration if you have intention to buy this item. Overall it looks sturdy but I guess I would have to see once my daughter goes on her bike for her first ride. Also, per Amazon shipping policy, this item cannot be shipped by air, so no rush delivery option is not offered. I found this to be weird as the Amazon agent told that this package might contains material that is not allowed on air cargo, so I figured that there might be some grease/oil pouch in the kit but nothing was found. Amazon should review the contents of this package and allow it to be shipped by air as no hazardous material is included in the kit. I would recommend this item only if you know who to use a metal file a hummer and have the right tools to fit the holding brackets. Good luck.

Did the job
I got these for a 26in single speed bike because the boy child wanted to learn but was too big for a kids bike. They went on easy and fit like training wheels are supposed to (only touching the ground when the bike leans). He did twist one of them a little in a rough crash after a few days, but it didn't affect the function and the things made it through learning to ride a bike without a hitch. If you're looking to keep them on forever, you might want to invest in a more expensive set, but as training wheels go, these were perfect. Heads up if you didn't read the FAQ - They're big enough for an adult sized bike, but only if it's a single speed (a bike that doesn't shift gears). I tried to get them on a 24in multi-speed first (just to see if I could make it work), but they will not fit on a multi-speed bike because the gears are in the way of where they need to brace on the frame. That seems to be the case for pretty much all training wheels, though, not just these.

Quality & "Made in USA" are becoming more important than ever
I am so glad I went with these training wheels. First of all, I like to support small American businesses if they produce good products. Second, these are much sturdier than any other training wheels I've seen on the market. I couldn't be happier. And lastly and perhaps most importantly, the products coming out of China recently all seem to have dropped in quality. Not that the quality was ever that fantastic to begin with but it seems over the past year it has dropped even more. I am finding almost everything I buy from China now is of subpar quality. I do not know if that is because of the pandemic and supplies are short or less Q&A is being done or if it's just greed. Whatever the reason I do not want to have to replace everything I buy in a year or two. I would like to buy something that will last, like my parents used to. They bought something and it would last their entire lifetime - and even be handed down to the kids. Nowadays you're lucky if something lasts two or three years. It's ridiculous. We as consumers should become smarter about our purchasing decisions. It doesn't take much time to do a little research and I don't know about everyone else, but money is getting tight in my household, And I've noticed I can save an awful lot of money if I'm not re-purchasing things I bought just a couple years ago. That's said, I'm very happy to support this company because they produce a fantastic product and as a bonus, they are a small American manufacturer. My training wheels arrived when they said they would and they are of superior quality - these are very sturdy! And when my 3 kids are finished with them, I'll be glad to give them to somebody else to use.
