Perfect for fit and function and simple installation....
I got this to replace a single antenna amplifier switch in my 2013 Roadtrek Motorhome. My sole interest was to have a 12 volt outlet that was using juice from the house batteries vs. the starting battery. I removed the old amplifier plate, simply hooked in the existing 12 volt clip on wires from the replaced amplifier to this new one with a 12 volt outlet....I even took it a bit further cause there was a separate A/B switch to switch between the roof antenna and a cable hookup and another small box that was a splitter. This one unit not only replaced 3 units, but allowed me to get more space in the AV cabinet (space is always at a premium in small motorhomes) and have a cleaner looking installation. I did not have to buy anything additional other than one of those female 2 sided cable connector that allowed me to simply use the existing cable behind the wall of the motorhome and I only had to fish it maybe 6 or 8 inches with a piece of wire hanger. Basically it took me longer to write this review than install the unit. Now I have a 12 volt house battery outlet for my CPAP machine and do not need to use the inverter all night...I could not understand why Roadtrek did not use this set up in the first place cause likely it is less costly and takes less installation labor than the original 3 separate unit set up that accomplishes precisely the same thing but excludes a very usable 12 volt outlet drawing from the house batteries. After a test it all worked perfectly. It is almost impossible to screw up this installation, but no doubt some will be successful achieving the impossible and they will be the ones who give this unit a one star review.

Good product for a good price.
I bought my Jayco 22FB brand new at the end of 2010. It's a 2010 model that was on clearance. Here it is 4 years later (at the beginning of this summer - first camping trip) and my antennae wouldn't work. When I took the outlet out I quickly discovered why. There was corrosion all over the back of the thing, on the circuit board and all over the connections. I could see moisture on the inside of the walls. Jayco did a poor job of insulating inside there so the moisture was from condensation. You can see the inside of the siding. You should see nothing but insulation. So I bought this "Winegard RV-7042 White Wall Plate Power Supply" from Amazon (Which by the way was considerably less expensive than the RV dealership. I installed this with one modification. I applied liquid electrical tape all over the back of it after I made my connections and then reinstalled it. Hopefully that will prevent corrosion from the condensation. My thoughts: Campers are whipped together and built fairly cheap. So I believe that anyone could easily run into the same problem I did. If this happens to me again I will look into a better fix for the condensation. No fault of this product though.

Works fine; Auxillary connect a plus for installing extra CATV outlet in RV
Was easy to install as a replacment for a unit I had that got zapped by lightning. A cool discovery was the auxillary connection in the back. There are three coax ports. One is the in-feed line from the antenna. The second is the in-feed line from campground CATV. The third connect is an out-feed to another coax outlet. I used the auxillary connect to install a new coax plate elsewhere in my RV. Works great, plenty of power. If the light does not work on install, check the fuse in the RV panel. I touched wires, and tripped it. It's all DC in this product, but make sure you connect the power and ground wires to the correct places. Also, i used a wrench to firmly connect the coax to the unit. With all the vibration when traveling, I wanted the coax connections to remain securely fastened over time.

Works Well For Me.... And Easy Installation.....
This gadget allows me to watch my 12 volt tv without having shore power or running my generator, which is exactly what I needed.... Easy to install and does the job.....

Love it.
I did not need the 12v power socket, but switching out the original power plate with this one, allowed me to get rid of a splitter and the Cable/Antenna switch in my RV. Pushing the button applies power to the antenna booster and connects your TV to the antenna. Turning off the power, switches your TV to the cable signal. Much easier to remember compared to the old switch which had position A and position B. The only issue I had was that I had to make the original cutout a little bigger to accommodate the power socket on the back of the switch.
