Some added protection

2nd season with them and they get the job done. First, too firm out of the box so I drilled out a mold hole in the back before mounting so there was some give to the plastic. These are not soft. Second, either attach before the dock goes in the water or be prepared to hang over the water with your drill to install. And holes are too deep and large to use Phillips head screws because the shot is blind. Use a stainless screw (and washer) with a hex head to install "over" the water. I use 3 of these, one on the side by the eye bolt and two in front, aligned with each pontoon.

Nice bumper would be better if it included hardware

The product is well built and the lip on top makes it easy to install. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is the lack of hardware included. 3 lag screws and 3 washers should be included, no reason why you should have to go to your local hardware store as they should come with the product.

Perfect for keeping the boat from hitting the dock in front of it. We applied it with industrial strength velcro as we were using it on a community dock.

High Quality And Easy To Install Dock Bumper

Needed a sturdy duck bumper to cover a sharp dock edge with one short side. Could not find a corner that would fit the short side of the dock that had a pole. Took a chance that installing this one upside down with the top side covering the corner would protect our boat. This was extremely easy to install after drilling three holes in the aluminum dock side and using the top edge to overlap the bottom of the dock with about 1/2” overlapping the short corner. It worked great and I angled the existing bumper on the short corner to provide additional protection.

Used a different way.

Used as a bumper for car door. Daughter kept bumping her car door. We installed this bumper and fixed the problem. No more chipped paint!

Does not resist deformation

This product is probably adequate for most applications. My only issue with is that after using for one summer the tubes providing access to the bolt heads have collapsed making it impossible to remove the fender from the dock through normal means - and may result in destroying the fender further. Docks are being removed from the water before the winter, so I will likely lose this fender and have to buy a new one next year.

Great product

We have bought 3 of these for our dock and they work great for our 17ft boat to rub up against. They do not make any marks on the boat and are low profile so you don’t trip on them.
