Not my favorite for marking Sashiko

I wanted to use this marking pencil for my Sashiko projects. I have found that the Bohin mechanical chalk pencil works much better when I am using a stencil template. The chalk is too wide for that purpose. This item may work when I am drawing my design rather than using a template, but I haven't tried that yet.

Doesn’t mark cotton fabric well

Arrived broken but still usable. Just doesn’t mark well on fabric. I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative to Roxanne’s white pencils and this just isn’t it. I’m sure they’re fabulous on a chalkboard, but they just don’t mark quilting fabric well. Disappointing because this is the first Bohin product I’ve tried which I didn’t love.

Thanks for a good product too

It's chalk that fits in my holder. What gets me is that this is the only replacement chalk out there for my rather expensive chalking system - BUT Kudos to the company for having the foresight to offer the replacement. Thanks for a good product too. :D

Great sewer's aid

I really like these pencils for pattern and garment marking. The colors and nice and visible but easy to remove (usually with just a little spit :-). The only problem is that it's hard to sharpen them without breaking.

easiest chalk to use

If you sew for dolls, babies, toddlers or sew swimsuits this chalk is what you need. I buy these refill cartridges for the pen/holder they are made for. The white and the colors wipe and wash off easily.

Chalk refills

Love using this for quilting! Very difficult to wash off, takes 3 wash cycles sometimes.

Excellent. No damage to chalk

Excellent. No damage to chalk. Was a bit thinner than I expected but the price is very good and the quality exceptional. Some of the colors were a bit too light as we had plenty of white for dark backgrounds, I was hoping for more vibrant colors. But still been using them for 3 weeks and highly satisfied.

Easy to use, works great!

While this is used for marking fabrics, it is also great for acrylic painting to sketch in what you want to paint!
