A good beginner's posture corrector

I received this SPRI Posture Corrector in good condition in a cardboard box. I had been thinking about getting a posture corrector for awhile, and this one seemed like an affordable way to get into wearing one. I ordered this for my boyfriend, and when I first pulled it out of the box I thought there was no way it would fit him, but it did once I adjusted the straps. For reference, he is over 6ft and weighs over 200lbs so he is a Big and Tall person, but this posture corrector still fit him adequately. We read the included paper instructions, which recommend you start by wearing it for 15 minutes a day, and gradually increase the time in increments weekly. It's not working miracles yet, but I'm sure any substantial difference will come over time. He found the posture corrector to be comfortable, but you do have to be careful putting it on and taking it off, especially if you're a big and tall person like he is. The actual posture corrector is what I'd describe as very basic, nothing fancy, but fairly priced for someone who is looking to start wearing a posture corrector but isn't yet sure if they will commit to one long term.

SPRI Posture Corrector - Posture Support Brace for Women and Men - Back Straightener Harness with Adjustable Loop Straps - for Upper Back Support for Neck and Shoulder Pain Relief I was really hoping this helped and I suffered through the uncomfortable position the straps sit. It just was working for me. The way the straps fit under the arm pinches and sit weird with a shirt on. I wasn't expecting it to be comfortable given it helping with my posture, but it was just very uncomfortable to use for long periods.

Great for my teenager

I found this a bit uncomfortable being a bit heavyset as a 180 lbs guy. I work on a PC all day so I got it to help me keep my posture. I found it uncomfortable to use over an hour and found myself just not using it. My wife had our teenager use it as he’s been using a PC more and more since the pandemic and homeschooling. He seems to be fine with keeping it on for hours so far. Probably helps that he thinks he looks like a gun slinger. His posture also looks better to me when he has it on.

Adds the extra support

It’s overall a basic mechanism that adds extra support. My posture was better but the comfort could be improved with added cushion. Felt like I was wearing a backpack with extra tight straps.

Reasonably comfortable

I've never tried a device like this before so I don't have anything to compare it to directly. I have used other items that combine a stretchy part and velcro, such as knee braces, and this one does have the velcro positioned and attached so that it does not rub against my skin, which is not always the case. While wearing it, I can feel that I have something on but it's not uncomfortable and I'm not in a hurry to take it off. That may be a good thing or a bad thing. It's good that it's not uncomfortable, but maybe it should be more uncomfortable to work? The instructions say to wear it for 15 minutes at first--I got distracted and busy and easily wore it quite a bit longer than that. I do not have a pronounced curve to my back--I wanted this mostly to prevent getting that while working on my computer for hours, and it does seem to help with that. Overall, pleased with this item, just unable to say whether it would help if anyone had a more severe issue that I do.

It's no for me.......

I am recovering from a shoulder injury and wearing a posture corrector was recommend to aid in the process. Not sure if it due to my type of injury, but I could hardly stand to wear this harness. It was extremely difficult to put on or take off without assistance. For me, it wasn't very comfortable and the straps dugs in to my shoulder causing more pain to an already injured shoulder. The price was very reasonable and may work better for someone just wanting to improve their posture. Having an existing injury made the use of the item intolerable.

Helps prevent shoulder roll, but doesn't improve affect back/spine posture

I sit at a desk all day, and I slouch a lot. I was excited to try something that might help my poor posture. The product is good quality and it is easily adjustable. It's a little confusing to put on and take off, but once you get the hang of it, it's not a big deal. It feels like you're wearing a backpack, and it does kindof help remind you to stop your shoulders from rolling forward, or else the straps will dig in and it'll be uncomfortable. However, a good portion of my slouching is in my spine itself, and this doesn't do anything to help with that. In retrospect, looking at the product, I'm not sure why I had the expectation that it might help that, but it's worth considering that it will only help with shoulder roll. It's definitely more effective when I put my standing desk into stand position, and a lot less effective in seated position.

Simple to use

This posture corrector is very simple to put on - you’ll be wearing it within a minute of taking it out of the packaging. It works by basically holding back your shoulders and preventing you from slouching. So it depends on how you need to correct your posture. If you’re just over a desk all day and your shoulders are down constantly? This may be a good reminder for you to sit up straight as it puts pressure on your back when you lean down. If your whole back is curved - this obviously is just a simple set of straps and that may not help you much. However, since you’ll be uncomfortable anytime you do slouch forward, just wearing it and feeling the pull may be enough of a reminder that you need to sit up straight. Overtime it may just change your habit when you sit.
