Rolled The Dice 7 Times. Got Lucky All 7 Times

I mainly bought the Botanical set for the Lavender colored pencil, since it's being discontinued. I took a chance and bought 7 sets (3 one week, 4 another week) as I've seen several sets of Botanical have already replaced Lavender with Hot Pink. I was super fortunate that all 7 sets I bought had the Lavender colored pencil in them. As far as how they color, im pleased that they color and blend pretty well (as Prismacolor pencils should). Needless to say, I won't be running out of Lavender pencils for a while (providing they don't break constantly when being sharpened).

Best colored pencils on the market! Worth the price.

The 12 pencil kit was required for a class and I wish I'd purchased the larger sets. I ordered a large set of a cheaper pencil to fill in for other colors and was disappointed that their softness didn't match up. The only draw back is if you use a pencil sharpener other than the prismacolor sharpener, you will be frustrated. I can't believe I am saying this, but the Prismacolor pencil sharpener is a game changer.

Great color, easy to use, pricy

These have great color and are easy to use, but not worth the high cost to me. I find the inexpensive Kalour set I purchased to be just as soft, easy to use and colorful. As best I can determine, the Kalour are the same as the Brunfuner round colored pencils even though the Brunfuner is sold as oil based and the Kalour as wax based - both wax and oil are used in all colored pencils apparently, but they are referred to as wax based if more wax is used and oil based if more oil is used. I know from reviews posted by professionals that the Prismacolor are deemed to have more pigment and to be better at blending and layering. But to me, the differences are miniscule and not worth the high cost difference. Additionally, Prismacolor break often and suffer from waxbloom, so although they have a decent lightfastness rating, they do not seem suitable for professional work any more than the Kalour is. That being said, I am a beginner and amateur with colored pencils - with more experience, I may change my opinion...

Beautiful pencils

Everyone knows that the Prismacolor pencils are known to be the best. This is my first purchase of them. I compared these pens with about 5 other brands that i have and they are indeed great color and easy to use. A bit delicate, but so worth it. This set is a great price to get a nice set like this.

High quality colored pencils for kids' artwork

Purchased these to keep children, ages 6 & 11, occupied while traveling. Excellent quality colored pencils, sharpened easily. Would definitely buy again.

Missing one color

I love Prismacolor, always have. I bought this set to get the lavender color but got surprised when the lavender pencil was not in it. They substituted another pink pencil instead. I still love the brand but am disappointed.

Botanical Garden Set

If you need a small set to color flowers this is a great choice. However I do have to state that the picture of the pencils included needs to be updated. It shows that it includes 934 lavender which is why I ordered this set. 993 Hot pink was added as a substitute. If you want to color pink flowers that’s a great choice. I just prefer the lilac. I have since learned that lilac is being discontinued. I hope they come up with a closer match to lilac than hot pink soon. This is a great price for the pencils so I’ll be keeping the set despite the undisclosed substitution.

So easy to blend!

This product is good, but I'd opt for the 23 pack because last time I checked, they were on sale. But, if you like a compact, small and pretty colors, then I think you should buy it.

Lovely pencils Arrived all intact from America well before the expected delivery date I was very pleased they were no breakages as they were only in a plastic postal bag with no padding I haven’t tried them properly but they seem genuine As I have been wary due to the bad reviews these pencils get They are soft and vibrant in colour .obviously I haven’t sharpened them yet Lovely set very pleased
