Great Paper, But Not For Charcoal

I’m a high school art teacher and this is the 2nd time that I purchased this mixed media paper. I like it for its durability with paint, marker, and colored pencils. It doesn’t work well with charcoal, although I’m forcing it right now. If I had to start this project again, I would choose a different type of paper, something less smooth, cold pressed. Other than this, it’s almost like Bristol board, just a little less workable.

Good for purpose but no way to organize it

This is great drawing paper. It holds ink well and is sturdy for its purpose. Biggest drawback: a lot of sheets w/ no way to contain them. Open the package and it is all out there. Think loose leaf paper. Would be perfect if there was a way to package it in a pocket so you could pull paper as needed. Would increase value and I would pay more.

Good paper, but price doubled in couple months.

I first bought this very same paper in January 2020 for $9. It's is a good size for kids drawing, and it's just sturdy enough to be used double-sided with regular Crayola marker (Sharpies and dry erase markers will bleed through). And it holds paint and watercolor pretty well too. However, the price went up quite substantially since then. I bought a second set for $11 in March, and now I check again in May, it is selling for $18!!! Not sure if this is due to the supply issue during the covid 19. I will buy again if the price goes down.

Good quality for the price

I have ordered many different brands of white paper for my kids art (painting with tempera and water colors as well as crayons, markers, oil crayons, and colored pencils) this one is by far the best value for the money. It is really white and just the right thickness for paint not to bleed through. If too much water is used it does get flimsy but because of this my 3 yo has learned to use less water so it’s a win/win. I highly recommend this paper even over Melissa and Doug which can get pretty pricey at the rate my kids produce Art.

high quality economic paper

Decent enough for dry sketching, drawing, not good for wet watercoloring. It holds gel ink, black ink very well. Very economic for beginners/kids to practice on without wasting good sketch pads. 500 sheets is a lot of paper. The very white color, texture and thickness are suitable for our needs. Would love to buy it again.

This paper has a nice soft feel. It even accepts light watercolor washes.

Definitely worth the buy

Definitely came in handy for virtual school. Teachers always want the students to get some paper, so I’m glad I bought before even knowing. Definitely worth the buy.
