These are an affordable bag to install for added safety.

These are the most affordable bags I could find. They fit the bill for our canoe trip. However inflate your bags ahead of time and make sure that they retain their air. This is why I couldn’t go 5 stars. On bag held air while the other one did not. I returned the bad bag and was given a replacement. I have to inflate that one and make sure it’s ok before my next trip. Otherwise I’m satisfied.

Good Bags...

I blew up one of these when I was inflating it... but... It was my fault for trying to squeeze these in a Blackfly Ion. Harmony was really cool about the warranty even though I had bought these 6 months prior. They sent me 2 new bags that were smaller and they work great. There is something to say about a company that stands behind their products. I will be buying from them again in the future. Tony D.

DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

These are the worst airbags I have ever purchased in my 20+ year of whitewater canoeing. I purchased for a older boat that I am refurbishing and I waited until it was complete to open the airbags and install them the night before I was taking the canoe out. The air bag was very stiff and creased when I removed it from the packaging. I installed it and inflated it only to find out it did not hold air for 15 minutes. I removed it and after close inspection there are small holes/cracks along the creases. Since I waited until the boat was complete I missed the return window so now I am stuck patching a brand new bag. So far 5 holes have been patched. I know there are better bags out there and for my primary boat I use those. These are for a secondary boat so I understand lower quality, but airbags should still hold air. Especially when they are new out of the package.

Great piece of equipment.

This canoe float works great. I bought this one and a smaller one, (38in or 32in). If I bought these again, i would only get 1 of the 38/32inch floats. We did a 4 day canoe trip down the Kalamath river, class II and a few Class III rapids. We put the smaller float in the front of the canoe, but didnt ever blow up the larger 48 in one because it was too big. We had no trouble floating our boat with just one. If I were worried, i might get 2 of the smaller ones, but they take up so much space that by the time you have your gear in the canoe, there isn't much space left. They are pretty durable. The one we used kept air the whole trip and folded up nicely in the end. Great product.

Solo canoe flotation

Just purchased this. Seems to be very sturdy. I bought the 48" size and it fits perfectly in the front and the back of my Blue Hole Sunburst solo canoe. It had metal rings embedded in the vinyl so you can easily anchor the bags when securing to the boat. Have not taken them on the river yet, but they seem to be as sturdy as others I used years ago.

Tandem Canoe Flotation

Just ordered this for a tandem Mad River canoe. Looks to be large enough and very sturdy material. Found another similar one a little larger, but it was $139, so decided to try this one since it was much cheaper. Was afraid it was going to be too small, but it's not. Material seems very strong. Look forward to trying it out on the Nantahala.

Not worth the savings

I bought two recently and one of them would not hold air at all. These are very brittle. I think that their more expensive alternative would be a better option

It's OK

Works OK but is a little too large to fit in the bow/stern of my Old Town Discovery. Full inflation compromises storage capacity for river camping. Would recommend this for day trips through Class I-III rapids.

New air bag unusable.

Brand new flotation bag. Bag went flat quickly after first inflation, not even installed in a boat. Used soapy water test and found a 1 inch hole in a factory fold seam (see soap bubble). Can I rate this a -3 stars for the hassle of dealing with it?
