Calming, air-purifying, therapeutic ambiance, I can't say enough!
I have had two of the Himalayan salt rock lamps for a year now and always give myself a mental pat on the back for getting them. The ambiance they create is so relaxing and beautiful! Sometimes I'll just gaze at mine in the living room and watch the glow fade in and out just slightly and even change its tone a bit. I crank it up during the day to get the maximum benefit and dim in down at night to where it has a tiny bright glow in the center and a dark glow on the top. It really sets the mood for my son to calm down and settle down for bedtime. I've even set it in our master bedroom when my husband, my son or myself were sick and it helped speed up our recovery a lot. My daughter also has one in her room and she usually keeps hers turned all the way up. I believe it really has helped her in her overall mental and emotional state. She's 13, going through the usual changes in life and I truly believe this lamp helps her keep from getting too depressed, stressed, overwhelmed, etc. Before I purchased the lamp, our whole family was constantly having a hard time with the usual stresses of life. But since we've had it, I've noticed a gradual change is everyone's ability to get along and have a more positive outlook on things. It obviously doesn't change the way we live or the things we do, but it has really cleared a lot of the stress out of the air somehow. I wanted to give it a good long time to see if there were any real noticeable differences, and I'm confident enough to say that these lamps really do have some kind of affect on the atmosphere. It is very holistic in its approach. I will be purchasing more for other areas in our apartment, such as our master bedroom and my son's bedroom. I'll also be investing in some essential oil diffusers as I've tried my own coconut oil/tea tree oil/peppermint oil concoction and it has actually kept my high-functioning autistic and ADHD 5-year-old son calm for the majority of the days that I've used it. Awesome lamp!
I didn't really know how this lamp would be when I ordered it, but I decided to give it a try. Pleasantly surprised how much I like it! It's very attractive to look at and the dimmer switch works perfectly. I have it in the living room on a console table near the door and it draws the eye with a soft, diffused light. My husband likes it too! (Always a bonus...) It arrived packaged well and everything was in good order. I'm thinking about getting another one before too long! Thanks for a nice product! :) Update Aug. 2019 - I ordered another recently because I love the first one. However, it was not packaged properly this time and the base that holds the bulb was broken. Also, the hole in the salt was not tall enough to insert the bulb with the base. If it had been, I could have still used it because where the base was broken wouldn't have hurt the function or be seen. Sent it back for a replacement. Sadly, the replacement was broken worse. The hole in the salt was tall enough, but the bulb base was broken up higher where the electrical connection would be exposed, so it would have been a safety hazard to use it if it even worked, which I didn't try because of the severity of the break. Something has gone wrong with their packaging procedures evidently! So disappointed. Plus, Amazon quickly sent the replacement, but now that the replacement has been returned and received by Amazon, they are not issuing a refund. It says refund is $0.00!

Sad cos it’s not working :(
Bought this as an early Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I was present when it was being set up initially. Turning on the device resulted in a pop and glow that died from the lightbulb. And the lightbulb shattered. I assumed this was perhaps a bad bulb. I have purchased a set of 12 of the bulbs. I tried putting a new bulb in today. Tried turning it on and I felt/heard the pop from the dimmer switch. The bulb never activated. I have thrown away the cord. I can’t trust it at this point. I would really like to see the cord itself replaced because right now, this is just a beautiful and massive paperweight. :( Edited: I have changed my review to 5 stars because I came across an email from the seller asking how the product was for me. It may seem entirely automated but I implore you to take advantage of the communication regardless. I replied back advising of my situation and the seller believed it may have been due to damage during shipping (which is likely; Amazon didn't have the box secured and it was within a larger box so it got bounced around quite a bit during shipping and the box itself it was packaged in was super dented and worn down when it arrived). The seller shipped me a new cord (and a bulb, too!) and I swear it arrived in like two days. It's working now! I am so so happy. I was scared to try it out due to what happened prior but it's all worked out and I'm happy with this purchase 100%.

Beautiful Lamp!
After going through tons of reviews of different Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps all around the same estimated sizes I decided on this one. The price was great for the size listed, no guessing if I was getting a 5-8inch, this one is clearly listed as being 8 inches. I was worried about a lot of common reviews I found on all of these types of lamps about the switches and bulbs arriving broken, and the amount of salt people would find in their shipping packages. My lamp arrived in perfect condition!! The switch feels durable, not cheap like I was worried about. It has a really nice and easy to use dimmer switch. The bulb was already inserted inside the lamp and is not broken. The Lamp itself was inside of a plastic bag that was snuggly packed inside of a box, and hardly any loose salt laying around in the bag or the box. The lamp is beautiful and has a really great dimmer capability, when fully lit it makes the entire lamp glow. I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. We have had it for about a week now and have used it every night. So far we are super happy that we choose this WhiteSwade lamp.
