Works well but a few things to keep in mind before you use it

The sanding wheel works well for my application, which was removing 40 year old paint from an old outboard marine motor. For those that don't know, the VAST MAJORITY of all outboards are made of aluminum, in both the engine itself and the outer case(including propeller). I needed something abrasive enough to remove multiple layers of paint (the motor had been repainted once before but whoever did it couldn't be bothered to remove the old paint first leaving a topcoat, some sort of bright yellow primer, then the original paint and primer layers. Typical) but not rough enough to start eating into the aluminum underneath. The issue I had was that the old paint had somehow turned sort of gummy which destroyed any and all other paint removal methods jamming up all sorts of sandpaper disks and roloc bristles, even that weird plasticy wirey stripping disk would get full of the stuff and start smearing stuff all over the parts I had already stripped. Despite all other methods absolutely sucking, this little disk held its own really good much to my surprise. That being said there was a learning curve to it that, reading the other reviews, most people hadn't caught onto. I ordered 3 right away and I'm glad I did because I made the same mistake as everyone else with the first one: I pushed it onto the surface and the brush just destroyed itself. The best thing I found is to not put any more pressure than the weight of the tool down on the brush, if you do this the brush still rips through paint but lasts SO much longer. In fact I have yet to completely wear down the second brush and I have stripped at least 1 square foot of material with multiple layers of gummy rubbery paint.

Too puny for my needs.

Too thin a tool. Does not work well. I am going to get a emery type 3/8" wide by 1.25 " diameter flap wheel so I can get my job done as this one just will not do.
